Borrowed Flannel

We arrived in front of the campus at 3.40. He dropped me outside the gate when nobody’s around. I thank him, kiss his lips, and wish him a good day. I walked into the campus, relieved that I still got a few minutes to get things from my locker.

Outside the building, Pax called me. His impish smile was seen from afar.

“Hey, how’s last night?”, Pax asked me.

“What happened last night? I don’t know what you’re talking about”.

“You know. I saw you get into his car, and with all the… intensity at rehearsal last night, I bet he doesn't just drive you straight into your dorm”, he added.

“Stop digging, Pax. I won’t spoil anything,” I said coyly.

“Okaaay…Well, you know what, his flannel looks good on you,” he added.

I smiled shyly and laughed a bit. “You’re just like him, you know. Always take every single opportunity to tease me.”

“That’s why we’re friends. Nice teasing you, Anita”. He left with a wide grin on his face
