Wow ! He is handsome !

The magnificent marble walls with golden decorations , were lighted by golden chandeliers with pieces of crystal . The king's birthday was coming soon and all the servants were preparing the castle for the big event . The wife and concubines of the king were busy trying to find the best gift that they could get . The princes and princesses were also thrilled about the high ranked guests that would come to the party . The princesses were especially thrilled about the arrival of the crown prince of Spain , prince Diego . The Spain and Anadol kingdom were close allies and friends , their style and traditions were also similar . The servants had started to decorate the castle with the best and most expensive decorations . All were thrilled about this grand occasion but there was one person in particular , who could barely keep her excitement and that was princess Charlotte , the second daughter of the king of Anadol .

' Finally ! I have been waiting for this day ! The servant that I bribed last time told me that there was a hole on the wall covered by branches and it could get me out of the castle without being noticed by both the inner and outside guards . I need to look for it today so mom and I can use this chance to escape............ ' thought Charlotte with a smirk .

In comparison to the other two princesses , Charlotte was different . Instead of enjoying her life as a princess , she works as a maid in the castle . Her father didn't love her and her mother had lost his favor when she was born because Charlotte was a girl and not a boy . Charlotte had brown curly , medium length hair and brown eyes . Her skin is white like the snow and her lips pink like a delicate rose . The queen , didn't like Charlotte at all so she forced her and her mother to work as maids . Charlotte didn't want to see her mother working as a maid so she took her place and worked even her mother's shifts . The two stepsisters would try everything to hurt her or make put her in trouble . Charlotte was very clever in comparison to those two and for this reason, the queen couldn't stand the sight of her . Although she lived in an enchanting world filled with luxury and power , she was nothing more than a maid with royal blood going through her veins . They would often call her the crownless princess or commoner princess . She was a princess but she never had anything that a normal princess would have , nor even the basic things such as proper dresses and a tiara . Charlotte hated the castle with all her heart and couldn't wait for the day she would escape from there . Seeing how things were difficult , Charlotte's mother would often ask the king for a divorce but he would only avoid the question and order her to go back to her room . Charlotte's mother was very sad that she couldn't help her daughter at all but Charlotte was a strong girl who could solve things just fine on her own . After agreeing with her mother to escape from the castle , Charlotte started to plan their escape . In the last weeks , Charlotte asked almost every servant and maid in the palace to help her find a way out from the castle without being noticed .

After searching for a while ,  Charlotte was finally able to find some useful information . She bribed a servant and learned about a certain hole that could lead people out of the castle without being noticed . Today was the day the fresh food from the market would be brought to the castle and Charlotte saw it as the only way back to go out and search the hole from the outside so that she could escape with her mother the next morning after the party .

' Hmmm...............he said that it was near the garden of the ballroom hall . In the garden , it is hard to notice it but at  ' thought Charlotte as she looked at the garden while cleaning the windows .

She noticed that the entrance door of the door for servants opened and saw a giant truck approaching it . An idea suddenly came to her mind as she looked at the servants .

" I need to take this chance ! " said Charlotte with a smirk and rushed towards the entrance door of the servants where they were brought inside the things they bought at the market .

" Hurry up everyone ! The banquet is in four days and we are already late with the peeling of the vegetables . " said the chief of the kitchen who was checking the boxes with vegetables , fruits, and meat that the servants who went in and out brought inside the castle .

' That old lady ! She is checking the order !........With her around , I cannot really go out ! She will identify me immediately and report to that snake queen . I will be in trouble if she does that . ' thought Charlotte with a serious expression . 

She looked around and noticed the guards were at the gate .

' I gotta find someone to cover for me . ' thought Charlotte and looked at the servants that wer near her .

' There's no one here who's friendly with me . I will end up getting discovered earlier if I ask someone to cover for me . ' thought Charlotte when she realized that there's no one who would help her in this entire castle .

" Hey ! Crownless princess ! The head maid ordered me to tell you that today it's your turn to clean the horse's stables today . " said the maid that worked for the queen with an arrogant tone and vicious smirk .

" Yes ! " said Charlotte with an annoyed expression .

' I must endure ! I can't let my mother be punished for my bad temper . ' thought Charlotte when remembering the time she went against a maid and the snake queen punished her mother for the daughter's rude behavior .

' The one who endures and is patient is always the winner . I will not step so low as to deal with a maid like her . ' thought Charlotte with a serious expression and went to grab her coat so that she could go out and clean the horses's stables .

It was autumn and the weather wasn't as good as it was in summer . It was cold and windy . Charlotte took the coat and went to the entrance door of the servants where the food was being transported inside the castle . The kitchen chief saw her and immediately recognized her .

" Trying to escape again crownless princess ?! This time the queen won't let you off easily if I go and tell her . " said the kitchen shief with a vicious smirk .

" You can go and tell her if you want . She was the one who ordered me to clean the horse stables . " said Charlotte .

" Oh , so you are going to clean the horse stables !......Fine then ! Remember to feed them well and wash their dirt well ! " said the kitchen chief with a grin .

' She's as disgusting as ever ! ' thought Charlotte with a disgusted expression when she saw her face but didn't talk back and went towards the horse stables . 

When walking past the truck , Charlotte saw the pen gates free without any guards around .

" How much more will it take for the whole food to be transported inside ?! " asked the kitchen chief .

" It will take at least an hour !  " said the people who were transporting the food .

" Gosh ! I don't have that much time to stay here and look after you . I am going back . Make sure to move your hands faster . My dishes need time to be prepared . " said the kitchen chief .

" Sure chief ! " said the kitchen servants and the chief left .

' That annoying old hag left , perfect ! One less of that snake queen's guardians to keep an eye on me............. ' thought Charlotte and looked at the gate .

' One hour..huh ?!.........It is enough time for me to search around a bit without being caught . ' thought Charlotte and wore the hat of her coat and went towards the gate .

Before stepping outside she looked at the guards to see what they were doing . Just as she had predicted the two guards were looking at their phone .

Charlotte smiled in a sneaky way as she looked at the road in front and went out . She was so happy that there was an opportunity to go out that she didn't properly look at the ground and ended up stepping on a stick . 

The guards heard the noise and turned their head back then saw Charlotte .

" Hey, you ! who are you ?! Identify yourself ! " said one of the guards with a serious expression as he looked at her with a doubtful look .

' Idiot ! How can you make yourself noticed in such an easy and stupid way ?!.....There's only one thing I can do now........ ' though Charlotte with a troubled expression .

She didn't turn her head nor did she speak otherwise the guards would have noticed her immediately . She looked at the road with a serious expression and started to run as fast as she could .

' I can only run ! ' thought Charlotte and ran with all her might .

" Could it be a thief ?! " said one of the guards .

" Hey ! Stop right there ! " said the guards with a serious expression and started to run after her . 

Charlotte ran fast and looked around to find a place to hide . When her eyes caught a good spot for her to hide she ran there without thinking twice and without caring about her surroundings .

' I am not getting caught without finding that hole ! ' thought Charlotte with a determined expression .

When she walked ahead , she tried on a broken plate of the way and ended up falling in the arms of another person . Charlotte closed her eyes thinking that he would fall on the bare ground but something pulled her up . A warm hand around her waist and shoulder had grabbed her . Charlotte opened her eyes and saw that she was caught by a boy .

He was also wearing a coat similar to the one she was wearing . The boy had green emerald eyes and black hair . He was tall and strong with muscles and a perfectly trained shape when you looked at him from head t toe .

' Wow ! He is so handsome ! ' thought Charlotte in a daze while looking at his face .
