“Get out! I’m not dressed!” She took a step back, but he was already closing the distance between them.

“Oh, I don’t mind,” he purred, his voice dropping to a low, flirty tone. He reached out a hand, as if to touch her arm. That was it. Calla’s patience, already thin from the lack of sleep and the general absurdity of her situation, snapped.

Without a second thought, she lifted her leg and aimed a swift, hard kick at his shin.

Killian yelped, hopping back, clutching his leg. “Jesus, Calla! What was that for?!” He grimaced, rubbing the spot. “I was only here to drop this off.”He held up a thick, embossed card.

Calla glared at him, then at the card. It was an invitation, intricately designed with silver ink.“What is it?” she asked, still wary.

“An invitation,” he said, straightening up, the smirk returning despite his pained leg.

“Get dressed. We’re going shopping.”Calla frowned. “For what?”

“There’s a social event that comes up every year,” Killian explained, his eyes t

selene's pov “James, wake the fuck up,” Selene muttered, her voice low and husky from sleep, “move your hand from my body you asshole.” James groaned against her neck, his arm draped over her waist. “Mmm, just five more minutes…” “Do you want to die, I’m serious,” she whispered, wriggling free. “I have to go.” His eyes barely opened, but he smirked. “So fast? No goodbye quickie?” “Fuck no,” Selene rolled her eyes and slid out of bed, her bare feet hitting the cold tiles as she reached for her earrings and necklace. “Damn, you're cruel,” James yawned, stretching lazily. Selene ignored him, slipping her blouse on and zipping her skirt. “Cruel is waking up next to a man with no self-control.” He chuckled. “Ouch, but I gave you what you wanted, hard and fast.” She ignored him and was already halfway to the door when he asked, “So… when do I get to see you like this again?” “Not anytime soon.” She paused, tilting her head back slightly. “Or not ever.” James raised an eyebrow. “N

it was desperate. Hungry. Killian was caught off guard, but his body responded before his mind could catch up. His hands slid around her waist, gripping her like she was the only solid thing keeping him from drowning. When she finally pulled back, her breathing was ragged, her cheeks flushed. “Don’t ever scare me like that again, ever again and I mean it.” she whispered against his lips. Killian stared at her, dazed. “I... I passed out, didn’t I?” “More like blacked out,” Calla muttered. “Mateo practically dragged you in.” He sighed, resting his head back on the pillow. “God. My head feels like I wrestled with a truck.” “You probably drank like one,” she snapped. Calla cupped his face. "You scared me. You drank too much, do you have any idea how worried I was? after you had promised to be back early." Killian smirked, his voice still rough. "If I knew you'd kiss me like that, I'd get drunk more often." She smacked his shoulder lightly. "Not funny. Idiot." He laughed

"I'm sorry ma'am," he said kissing her stomach. She reached out to touch his face, "You're forgiven," she whispered. "Now, get back down there and eat me out like the good boy you are."James didn't need to be told twice. As he moved back down between her legs, Selene let out a satisfied sigh. This was exactly what she needed after that disastrous night with Damien. A night of rough, no-strings-attached sex with someone who actually knew how to please her, at the same time she kept thinking of how to wrap Damien round her finger while she made her way to Killian's side, Calla can't be with Killian when she selene dreams of being right by his side dominating the world. * * * Killian sat at his office in La Fiamma, the familiar scent of leather and smoke swirling around him. He leaned back in his chair, staring blankly at the ceiling. His hand trembled slightly as he poured himself a glass of whiskey, the ice clinking against the glass. His cigarette burned slowly between his finge

Damien slammed the door behind him, the sharp echo bouncing off the cold walls of his penthouse. His chest rose and fell with ragged breaths, blood dripping from his knuckles, the aftermath of what that bitch had done to him. Rage burned in his eyes as he staggered toward the kitchen counter, slamming the drawer open and yanking out the first aid kit. Selene wasn’t home. Of course she wasn’t. He remembered the look in her eyes before he slapped her. She must still be pissed. He muttered under his breath, his voice low and venomous. “She’ll get over it.” He tore open an alcohol swab, wincing as he dabbed it over the raw wound. The sting only made him angrier. His teeth clenched as images of the bar flashed through his mind, her, that woman, the smirk on her lips, the silence in her eyes. The way his hand moved to sign the papers no, forced to sign them. His pride shattered. “Calla,” he growled, the name tasting like poison. “You fucking witch.” Meanwhile… Selene leaned back again

The soft morning light slipped through the blinds, painting golden streaks across the sheets. Killian stirred first. Calla was curled beside him, her hair a soft halo around her face, breathing slow and deep. He watched her for a second, brushing a thumb gently across her cheek before slipping out of bed.He returned from the bathroom, towel slung low on his hips, water still glistening off his chest and tattoos.Calla’s sleepy eyes cracked open, and then widened. Her gaze clung to the way the water trickled down his toned torso, resting far too long on the sharp lines and the ink that coiled across his skin.Killian smirked. “I'm guessing, no I'm hundred percent sure you're loving what you see. I know have sexy.”Calla’s face flushed instantly. “I’m don't, no you're aren't sexy, gosh it's too early..”“You were staring, kitten.”“I just woke up, my eyes were adjusting,” she mumbled, rolling over, clearly flustered.Killian chuckled and leaned down to press a kiss to her forehead,. “M

Damien tried to keep his cool as he looked at the woman before him, dressed in a skintight red dress, blood-red lipstick matching the rage in her eyes. “Who sent you? Was it Calla? Or was this part of what she wanted Killian Black to do?” Damien asked, his voice trembling, trying to sound brave. Neva smiled slowly, almost sympathetically, as she leaned against his desk. “So many questions, Damien. But none of them matter. What matters… is this.” She said pointing at the divorce papers. Damien tried to buy time. Maybe if he moved just right, he could press the red button near his elbow, alert the guards, and end this madness. But before his hand got anywhere close, WHACK! “AH!” Damien groaned as Neva’s fist smashed into his nose. “Goddamnit!” he cursed. “What the fuck is wrong with you?!” “Last warning,” Neva said coldly. “Sign the papers.” pressing the knife harder to his balls. Damien froze. The sharp tip of the dagger pressed against his balls made his next breath catch in h
