CHAPTER NINETEEN

Selena’s POV

I took a strong stand as I held the knife tight in my hand while waiting for the guard to leave so I would seize the opportunity and end Raymond. If he was searching for me at the execution ground and didn't find me, then he was going to figure out soon that I was up to something and before he would get a hang of the situation and probably guess that I was in the palace, I had to do something quickly. I had to swing into action before it would be too late for me so it was now or never.

Still standing in silence behind the curtain, I watched and listened with rapt attention as Raymond kept on having a conversation with the guard.

“Fine then, just keep on searching for her since you are sure she didn't go too far from the execution ground,” Raymond said to the guard and the guard bowed his head before Raymond at his order.

“Yes sir I'll make sure to find her,” he said and with that, he dashed out of the room but closed the door behind him before leaving.
