They don’t know me as Kaelyn Amric. Most of the pack doesn’t even know my name. I’m just the Alpha Prince’s twin sister. And that was always fine for them. But I wanted more. I wanted to be seen as me. Then he vanished. And with him, so did my life. Now, I’m heading to Storm Academy, an all boys school, disguised to find him. The only thing I still have is my name. But even that… isn’t really mine anymore. I was no longer an Amric, I was a nobody, an Altair. **** A girl. In an all boys academy? How did she become my roommate? And how would she make me keep her secret? She's reckless, too bold for her own good. And yet, somehow, she's my problem now. *Day 96 of Kaiven being missing. Regretfully yours, Evren.*

It had been three months and two days since anyone heard anything from Kaiven. They said he was missing. The council did. I stepped through the large doors leading my father's chambers. His quill stopped as he raised his head to stare at me and then he looked away, before dipping the pen into ink. "What do you want, Kaelyn?" He asked. I straightened my spine, "Let me go to Storm Academy." He scoffed, without looking up. "What for?" "To find Kaiven." His eyes flicked towards me. "Storm Academy is an academy for boys. What would you do there?" "What Kaiven would have done....if I had been the one missing." My father remained silent for a beat and and the ink dropped on the white clean paper. He frowned, "Go back to your room, Kaelyn." "I've already signed the papers. I've been accepted into Storm Academy." He threw the pen on the table and crossed the room in three long strides, "Are you trying to make me angry, Kaelyn?" "You promised to find him." I shot as I looked at my father in the eyes. "I'm working on it," "You've been saying that for three months, father. The council is doing nothing about it. They just watch and whisper. Isn't Kaiven the Alpha Prince? If he is, then why is nothing being done?!" "Kaelyn–" "I'm not here to ask for your blessings, father, neither do I seek your permission. Just....when I leave, don't let the guards come after me." I turned to leave. "You think they won't find out?" His voice stopped me as I crossed the threshold. "Storm Academy has been built over the years. If they cannot detect a girl sneaking in like a boy, then they don't deserve the title, don't you think?" "I'll at least try–" "No, you are going to die, Kaelyn." I swallowed, but my resolve would not be brought down, "I'll die trying." "You think I want to lose two of my kids?!" I scoffed lightly as I turned to look back at him, "Since when did you consider me as a child?" His eyes dimmed. "It had always been about Kaiven. But now that he is missing, you want to abandon him?" I shook my head slowly, "Not on my watch." He gulped as he looked away and walked back to his seat. "You'll be caught.....change your name." "I'm changing my surname." His brows shifted, "What?" "I'm not changing my name. I'm changing....my surname. It shouldn't bother you, right?" He released an heavy breath, "And what is it?" "Altair." I replied. "Kaelyn Altair." He nodded his head slowly. "I hope you find Kaiven. And when you do, bring him home." "I will." "The council will communicate with you while you are in Storm Academy. And we would have to take you out of your own school." "It's simple for you to do." I said flatly. He scoffed lightly as he throws the stained parchment away and picks a new paper, "I'll take care of it." "Goodnight, father." "Kaelyn." He called as he wrote with the quill without looking at me, "Storm Academy is not for girls." It was a warning, telling me to be smart. "I understand." With that, I walked out of his chambers and straight to my room. "Lady Kaelyn," my maid, Esme, rushed after me as I got in. "Get me scissors, Esme." Her face turned pale, "What are you doing? Don't tell me your father agreed to your absurd request." "Absurd?" I turned to look at her sharply, "We are talking about my Kaiven. My twin brother and the alpha prince here!" She stepped backwards, fear clouding her face, "I–I know, b–but it's not safe. Storm Academy is not–" "Esme." I called lightly as I stared at her seriously, "I have to find Kaiven. I don't... don't have a purpose if he's not here. If he's...not safe." Tears clouded my eyes as my heart beat tripled from the pain. "Get me the scissors." She rushed out and brought the scissors back a minute later. I stared at myself in the mirror. My identity had always been twisted and now, it was finally gone. I am no longer a girl. The scissors went through my hair. • The academy gates were taller than I imagined, iron forged like prison bars with sharp tips. No one could even dream of climbing in without dying. The gates opened with a loud sound, like it was announcing my arrival into the school. The black car carrying me drove into the school and I hopped down from it as soon as it came to a stop. My boots scrunched against gravel. My chest felt tighter than usual. Too tight. It was as a result of the bandage wrapped around it. I couldn't risk loosening it to adjust it, not here. "Move it," someone muttered behind me. I stepped aside just in time for a guy to shoulder past me. I fight the urge to snarl at him. Boys didn't flinch. "New one?" a voice asked–behind me. I turned. His eyes stared at me boldly, taking me in with one smooth look. He stretched his hand. "Student Committee President, Evren." Evren. The name rang a bell in my head. *Evren is my best friend. He's the son of Alpha Alaric Vale.* *Alpha Alaric? The prime alpha? Why would you speak with his son?* "You are....Evren?" My voice went low as I stared at him. He cocked his head, calmly, "Do you know me?" I flattened my lips, "Of course not." "What's your name?" It was the first time. I swallowed. It was the first time anyone had ever asked me for my name. They just called me 'the Alpha's daughter' or 'the Alpha's prince twin sister.' "Kaelyn Am–" I stopped. "Kaelyn...Altair. Kaelyn Altair, that's my name." "Kaelyn Altair," He pronounced my name slowly, like he could taste the lie that accompanied it. My chest tightened more. But then his lips curved slightly, "Welcome to Storm Academy, Kaelyn.”"KAELYN “Go, go,go.” Dareth practically pushed me towards Evren as he walked down paths I'm not familiar with.“I thought you said the student council union did nothing?”! I snapped at Dareth. He smirked, “Do you really believe that?” He raised a brow. “The student council team is made up alpha's from strong packs namely Dusk watch–”“Storm bound and Moon Born Pack, I know that.” I cut him short. He narrowed his eyes and then flicked his fingers against my forehead.“Ouch.”“How dare you cut me off when I'm speaking? If you do this in public, you'd be roasted.”“I didn't what you to waste your breath, Alpha Prince.” I huffed. He smirked, “The prime alpha's beta,” he moves a tree trunk that blocked our path, “And two other kids. Calrix, smart, Soren, strong, you, I don't really know.”I twitched my lips as I looked away.“Of course, the council doesn't simply sit still. We enforce order as secret agents of Verelen.”“Dareth.” Evren called, “You keep him too much of things.”“He's one
KAELYN.The white haired guy stands up and walked out of the place, leaving me with only Dareth and Soren.Dareth leaned closer, “So seriously, the headmaster just appointed you as a vassal members of the student union.” “I wonder..” I muttered curiously, “what does the student union do?”He smirked, “Nothing in particular. We just…lounge around.”“Truthfully speaking, Evren's the one that does most around here. Why? Can you snatch his place and push him out?”“What? He's the Prime Alpha Prince. That's impossible.” I snapped.Soren’s eyes narrowed and I can tell he lost all the pleasure he might have had speaking with me before. “I see.” He muttered, pushed his chair backwards aand walked out.Dareth smiled, “So you are bad at taking jokes. Interesting.” “Was that meant to be a joke?” I asked.“Soren makes dark jokes most of the time. If you can't understand, you'd be his enemy. I think you are marked for that. Congratulations.”“That's not something to be happy about.” I scoffed.H
EVREN How she managed to get into the student council through Thronhelm is none of my business. But I clearly warned her not to and she did.I smirked slightly as I walked away from the assembly. Being in the student council, Kaelyn wouldn't expect in.“Don't,” I said quietly, my voice eerie to my own ears. Sometimes, I thought I feared myself. There were no limits to the things I could do as Alpha Prince, including asking for someone's death, but there were limits to mistakes and I could make, and, characters I could condone.Kaelyn looked at me, her eyes shifting. “What?”“Kaiven's seat is not for anyone else.”I didn't care if she was Kaiven's friend or not. Kaiven didn't tell me about her so she was a liar for all I knew. And I was going to find that out. And how…she knew Kaiven. She stuttered, “But there's are no other seats here.”I smirked, “There's a small stool outside, that's if you are really interested in joining the meeting.” I said and placed the chair back in it's posi
KAELYN.“That's impossible. From the beginning of Storm Academy when it was created by our ancestor, Alpha General Rhogar Vael, the student council had only be formed by six people. The Prime Alpha Prince, two Alphas from the most important packs as available, the prime alpha's beta and two smart kids. It's complete, we need no one else. The laws cannot be changed.”He seemed very agitated by my request.“But one of the seats are empty right now–”“The seat of Alpha Prince Kaiven cannot be taken!” He banged his hand on the desk angrily.Shivers ran down my spine, but that didn't stop me from moving forward.“Fine, I understand.” I stood up slowly, “But I can't help you if you refuse to help me.”“Kaelyn!” His voice made me halt in my tracks. I didn't turn back to look at him, but my hands slipped off the door knob.“Fine. I believe we can create a spot for you. It's impossible to take someone out of the student council but we can bring you in. But….” He walked towards me, “The moment
KAELYN I backed away from his grip, shrugging his hands off me. “I'm…fine.”He stared at his fingers for a while, before his eyes slowly pulled towards me. I had a feeling his hands must have landed on my chest due to the pull. My teeth captured my lower lip tightly. So hard that blood tasted in my lips.“If I hadn't caught you yet, you would have gotten the gravel. You might be dead already.”*Thank you for helping me.” “You look familiar.” He muttered, running his eyes through me. “But the person I know is a girl.” I chuckled. It escaped in broken sounds. “Double faces, I see.” I muttered. I felt sweaty as I placed my hands behind me. Right now, it's extremely hard to breathe.“I guess. That girl is a princess. There's no way she'd be you.”“It's an insult to think a bonafide member of Storm Academy would be a girl.” He seemed convinced. “Right.” He muttered, stepping backwards. “I'll see you, Kaelyn.”I hoped not to see him, anywhere else. But a Prospect….it's impossible. He
KAELYN “Sit down.” Mason waved at me and I slowly skipped back into my seat. “What's wrong?” Davyn asked, “Why did you suddenly hit your hand that way?”I sighed as my eyes flickered back towards Evren and he's no longer there. What?I looked around. He's not in the cafeteria anymore. That signified the end of my lunch as I rushed out of my seat and left the building. My eyes caught him as he bent down the corner and I rushed towards him, almost bumping into him.He was waiting.I blinked, “You knew I was following you?”He looked at me, amused. “Isn't that much obvious?” I bit my lips hard. “You…what you did last night –”He stepped closer to me, cutting me off. “If I were you, Kaelyn, I'd stay away from me.” He turned, about to walk away.“Who on earth do you think you are?” I fired, stepping into his front. I didn't come to Storm Academy, passed through all those hurdles to get into the highest level I could attain, only to be bullied by someone who got it easily.Of a truth, o
