KAELYN

Commander Stone burned to look at me, a sterner gaze on his face. I sighed as I placed my fingers on each other, staring down…at my shoes.

“Lying against the Prime Alpha Prince is a great offence, Altair.”

They would never believe me. Exactly because of that position, the prime alpha prince. I gritted my teeth in defiance but I don't dare look up.

Evren Vael. Trust me when I say I would get back at you for what you did today.

“Ten frog jumps, Altair. If you take a rest, you start all over again.”

I bit my lips so hard I felt blood in my lips.

“Do you…understand?”

“Yes–” my eyes pinned on Evren, “Commander Stone.”

He titled his head, nodding me off, “Go on. You have ten minutes until the class starts.”

My laps hurt badly as I did the frog jumps. It's not as easy as I thought it would be, not with Commander Stone staring at me from the front of the class.”

He had enough time to pay to me for someone who is a commander.

I looked away as I did the eighth jump.

“Hey.” Someone called, walking towards me, “Water.” He muttered, shaking a tumbler.

It's Finn. No.

Alpha Prince Finn.

I looked away, jumping for the ninth time.

Oh my days.

“You know…” he started as I'm about to do the tenth jump, “It's rude for you to ignore an alpha prince. Most especially in somewhere like Storm Academy.”

I did the tenth jump and this time my legs give way. I fall down, lying down wide as I look at the sky. It's blue. Normal. Like the sky of every other places, but Storm Academy was not like anywhere.

I sighed as I got up from the ground and turned to look at Finn. “I appreciate the fact that you helped me during the fight, but you are an Alpha prospect, you shouldn't have anything to do with me.”

He smirked, “Says who? I can have anything with anyone as long as I am here.”

My eyes narrowed.

Don't tell me…this prince is gay?

“Do you want to be my trusted aide?” He suddenly asked and I sucked in a deep breath, breathing better. The thought that he might be gay almost made the living daylight bolt out of me.

“No, thank you.” I walked away from him before he could say anything else. The class is quiet as I walked into it, my legs shaky.

With my wolf being depressed, I can't help but be weak when I do something strenuous.

I took my seat among the students slowly. The Alpha Prospects are no longer here, probably in their own class.

“Battle Arts.” He scribbled on the board.

“As you all may or may not know, I'm Commander Stone, Master of Battle Arts. There is little to nothing to be taught in a classroom like this. All of our trainings are going to be in the field.” His eyes fell on me, “And lateness would not be accepted. It doesn't matter who or what is the cause for that. If you get to my trainings late three times, be rest assured that you…would… be expelled from Storm.”

My chest caught.

Expelled?

For lateness to classes?

I looked around.

Everyone seemed to be comfortable with these rules. Was that how it was over here?

I sucked in a deep breath. If I want to survive, I better listened to the first of Evren's commands.

“Do you have any question?”

I raised up my hands before anyone.

Commander Stone raised his brows as he stared at me. “Altair?”

Everyone turned to look at me.

What?

Am I not wolfistic enough to ask questions?

“Come on. Ask.” He paid his full attention to me. I jumped down from my seat slowly as I walked to stand at the podium.

My fingers stabbed into my palms as I cleared my throat.

A manly voice.

An expressionless face.

“How can we, if we ever want to, join the student council?”

Commander Stone stared at me for a long minute before he blinked, “What?”

“I said–”

“Don't bother repeating yourself.” He cut me off, “The opportunity of joining the student council is given by merit, Kaelyn and not by choice. Just because you want to be one of them doesn't mean you can…. be one of them.”

“What kind of merits?” I asked.

He smirked, “Are you interested?”

I nodded.

“Then work hard.” He said and walked out of the class.

Work hard?

That wasn't a definite answer.

What entailed working hard? What kind of hard work? Training or studies? I blinked as I turned back to the class and all of them are staring at me like I'd grown two to four horns.

I twitched my lips, before I summoned the courage and walked out.

It was time for lunch anyway.

“So you mean to say…forever and ever, the head of the student council would be the Prime Alpha Prince?” I asked.

“Hmm. Only when there isn't a Prime Alpha Prince yet…would there be a substitute and he would just be a stand in.” Davyn said.

I narrowed my eyes as I stared at the intricately designed and beautiful table at the end of the cafeteria.

Only for the student council.

Another table was directly opposite. Which was for the Alpha Prospects which were not in the Student council. Those two sitting furnitures cost a lot of fortune which these others can not even compare to.

I shook my head as I bite into my food. In this Academy, the student council holds as much power as the Alpha prospect but the ultimate one of Storm Academy was in someone's hand.

Evren Vael.

So why did Kaiven….why did Kaiven have to be friends with him of all people to choose?

“This is the first time I'm friends with a prospect.” Mason said, breaking into my thoughts.

For Mason, friends with a prospect was like gold.

For Kaiven, friends….. with the prime alpha…

“Oh my goodness!” My hands hit the table as I jerk off my seat.

It's power.

Kaiven and Evren, it's solid power.

I got it.

I smirked as my eyes land on Evren, but then he's staring back at me. And Finn. And the white haired guy.

I looked around.

And all the students are staring at me.

KAELYN.“That's impossible. From the beginning of Storm Academy when it was created by our ancestor, Alpha General Rhogar Vael, the student council had only be formed by six people. The Prime Alpha Prince, two Alphas from the most important packs as available, the prime alpha's beta and two smart kids. It's complete, we need no one else. The laws cannot be changed.”He seemed very agitated by my request.“But one of the seats are empty right now–”“The seat of Alpha Prince Kaiven cannot be taken!” He banged his hand on the desk angrily.Shivers ran down my spine, but that didn't stop me from moving forward.“Fine, I understand.” I stood up slowly, “But I can't help you if you refuse to help me.”“Kaelyn!” His voice made me halt in my tracks. I didn't turn back to look at him, but my hands slipped off the door knob.“Fine. I believe we can create a spot for you. It's impossible to take someone out of the student council but we can bring you in. But….” He walked towards me, “The moment

KAELYN I backed away from his grip, shrugging his hands off me. “I'm…fine.”He stared at his fingers for a while, before his eyes slowly pulled towards me. I had a feeling his hands must have landed on my chest due to the pull. My teeth captured my lower lip tightly. So hard that blood tasted in my lips.“If I hadn't caught you yet, you would have gotten the gravel. You might be dead already.”*Thank you for helping me.” “You look familiar.” He muttered, running his eyes through me. “But the person I know is a girl.” I chuckled. It escaped in broken sounds. “Double faces, I see.” I muttered. I felt sweaty as I placed my hands behind me. Right now, it's extremely hard to breathe.“I guess. That girl is a princess. There's no way she'd be you.”“It's an insult to think a bonafide member of Storm Academy would be a girl.” He seemed convinced. “Right.” He muttered, stepping backwards. “I'll see you, Kaelyn.”I hoped not to see him, anywhere else. But a Prospect….it's impossible. He

KAELYN “Sit down.” Mason waved at me and I slowly skipped back into my seat. “What's wrong?” Davyn asked, “Why did you suddenly hit your hand that way?”I sighed as my eyes flickered back towards Evren and he's no longer there. What?I looked around. He's not in the cafeteria anymore. That signified the end of my lunch as I rushed out of my seat and left the building. My eyes caught him as he bent down the corner and I rushed towards him, almost bumping into him.He was waiting.I blinked, “You knew I was following you?”He looked at me, amused. “Isn't that much obvious?” I bit my lips hard. “You…what you did last night –”He stepped closer to me, cutting me off. “If I were you, Kaelyn, I'd stay away from me.” He turned, about to walk away.“Who on earth do you think you are?” I fired, stepping into his front. I didn't come to Storm Academy, passed through all those hurdles to get into the highest level I could attain, only to be bullied by someone who got it easily.Of a truth, o

EVREN The doors creaked open late at night, like it usually did since I found out my roommate was a girl. She came back late. I went out early. We could hardly meet in the room most times. But tonight, “You asked about Kaiven in the your class today.”My voice was low..I heard her halt in the middle of the room.“I heard he is one of the students council.”“Hmm.” I sat up, turning to face her. “Is that the only thing you've heard about Kaiven?” “What?” She blinked. My feet carried me up from the bed as I walked towards her, she stepped backwards, almost stumbling into her bed…Kaiven's bed. I didn't try to catch her. I didn't care if she fell either. I'm not the kind of person to care what happened to others.“You didn't hear about the fact that Kaiven is my best friend?” I asked. She stared at me, with those sad eyes that suggested that she probably did. But didn't take the warning.“Stop snooping on him.” It was a warning , “Or else, you'd regret ever coming to Storm Academy, Kael

KAELYN The prospects rank had a whole building to themselves. It felt like they were the kings of the school as all their equipment was up to date. Sharp spears made of iron and steel, some of their swords even had silver in tiny quantities.Silver was dangerous to wolves but over here, it was used for practice. There were only some who silver couldn't affect in Virelia. And those two, were Alpha Alaric Vael and his son, Evren Vael.I had noticed the handle of his sword was coated with silver too. Just a hit on my head and I'm gone. I would stay away from him, I should. Even if it was almost impossible.“Class B.” The guide carrying us about was also a student. I didn't know him as he didn't bother to introduce himself, all he had said was ‘follow me.’“On no account should you go to class A, the alpha prospects class if you are not summoned. Respect ad keep your distance. Don't trust anyone. Your friend today could kill you tomorrow.”That sent a shiver down my spine as I gulped. Mi
