KAELYN
“Sit down.” Mason waved at me and I slowly skipped back into my seat. “What's wrong?” Davyn asked, “Why did you suddenly hit your hand that way?” I sighed as my eyes flickered back towards Evren and he's no longer there. What? I looked around. He's not in the cafeteria anymore. That signified the end of my lunch as I rushed out of my seat and left the building. My eyes caught him as he bent down the corner and I rushed towards him, almost bumping into him. He was waiting. I blinked, “You knew I was following you?” He looked at me, amused. “Isn't that much obvious?” I bit my lips hard. “You…what you did last night –” He stepped closer to me, cutting me off. “If I were you, Kaelyn, I'd stay away from me.” He turned, about to walk away. “Who on earth do you think you are?” I fired, stepping into his front. I didn't come to Storm Academy, passed through all those hurdles to get into the highest level I could attain, only to be bullied by someone who got it easily. Of a truth, only those in the normal prospects class were worthy of the position. Alpha strength gave those in the Alpha Prospects class an edge over us. He stared at me, blankly. “You know who I am.” I narrowed my eyes, “What?” “Who on earth…” he scoffed, like I'd just stepped over a line I should never have. “Kaelyn, you are something.” He muttered, “From sneaking into Storm Academy to a sharp tongue. You keep angering me, what do I expect I do?” I gritted my teeth hard, my fingers stabbing into my palm. “Just because you know my secret doesn't mean you should threaten me with it.” “What else would I do with secrets? Keep them for fun? Don't be mistaken, Altair. The worse person to find out a secret in ge whole of Verelen is me, Evren.” He started to walk away. “Is that why you did to Kaiven?!” I scream with all the strength in me, making him halt. His fingers tightened visibly as his shoulders turned tense. “Stop snooping into Kaiven's details or I promise you, Altair, you won't last another day in Storm.” With that, he walked away. I sighed, running my hands through my short hair. “Kaelyn?” Someone called behind me and I turned slowly to stare at the person. It's Michael. The same guy who had his wolf attack me yesterday. I'm definitely in the moon's to speak with that kind of person, so I turned to leave– “I'm sorry.” He muttered. I halted. “I'm truly sorry. I can't fight that much but I'm really smart, so I was…given a chance to try again to get into the prospects. But then, he attacked me. So I just hid. I didn't realize I could have put you in danger –” “You could have killed me.” I said sharply as I turned. I really didn't care about his smartness. It meant nothing to me. But I cared about my life, cos I'm living it for a reason and that's….Kaiven. Micheal blinked timidly as he tried to hold back his tears. Goodness. “I'm…we are just…a poor family in Verelan. I'm the first child of my parents. If I can leave Storm Academy as a prospect, then…then…I'll be able to take care of my family. We won't lack anything and my parents…they would be proud. That's why I hid.” “Why are you telling me this?” “I owe my life to you.” I frowned. “I'm not the one who won the wolf for you.” “You were the one who took the brunt.” He muttered, “So I owe…my life to you.” What? Is he…swearing his loyalty to me? He's a crybaby, what would I do with him? “Isn't that beautiful?” Someone clapped their hands behind us and we both looked at the person. Alpha Prince Finn. “Altair here owes his life to me and you owe yours to him. Isn't that great?” “When did I ever tell you I owe you my life?” I asked. Meeting Finn today twice isn't something I expected. And I'm not meant to be annoyed about it, but u can't help but think Finn is someone who is really dangerous. He looked like it. “Isn’t that expected for saving your life?” He raised his brow. “Loyalty cannot be forced, Alpha Prince.” I said flatly as I turned to walk away. “So what can I do–” He stopped me, “What can I do to get your loyalty?” I narrowed my eyes. What's wrong with him? Is this prince normal? “What do you mean?” “I've taken a great interest in you, Altair. And if you survive this… school. I'll like to take you with me to my pack. You can be my most trusted aide.” “Most trusted?” I raised my brow, “What have I done to be trusted?” “You look like someone who's not a respecter of persons, Altair. From yesterday towards me and today…. towards the Prime Alpha Prince. You'd be my greatest asset.” Asset. He wanted to own me. I scoffed lightly, underneath my breath. “I'm sorry about that, Alpha Prince Finn but being an asset to someone is not my ambition.” I didn't want to hear any of his nonsense, so I walked away immediately. The garden is quiet as I stepped into it. A garden in Storm Academy, a school for boys striked me hard, almost imbalancing me. It's beautiful. Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. For the first time I got into this school, a smile settled on my lips. I made my way towards the seat in the garden, but it's too late to see the snaky vine in front of me. I gasped, closing my eyes to brace myself for the impact but then a hand snaked through my waist, catching me before I could hit the ground. My chest pounded in my ears. Heavy, pressuring as my eyes flickered open. “Are you okay?” My days. Another Alpha Prospect. Dareth Venloris, Alpha of Moon Born Pack.KAELYN.The white haired guy stands up and walked out of the place, leaving me with only Dareth and Soren.Dareth leaned closer, “So seriously, the headmaster just appointed you as a vassal members of the student union.” “I wonder..” I muttered curiously, “what does the student union do?”He smirked, “Nothing in particular. We just…lounge around.”“Truthfully speaking, Evren's the one that does most around here. Why? Can you snatch his place and push him out?”“What? He's the Prime Alpha Prince. That's impossible.” I snapped.Soren’s eyes narrowed and I can tell he lost all the pleasure he might have had speaking with me before. “I see.” He muttered, pushed his chair backwards aand walked out.Dareth smiled, “So you are bad at taking jokes. Interesting.” “Was that meant to be a joke?” I asked.“Soren makes dark jokes most of the time. If you can't understand, you'd be his enemy. I think you are marked for that. Congratulations.”“That's not something to be happy about.” I scoffed.H
EVREN How she managed to get into the student council through Thronhelm is none of my business. But I clearly warned her not to and she did.I smirked slightly as I walked away from the assembly. Being in the student council, Kaelyn wouldn't expect in.“Don't,” I said quietly, my voice eerie to my own ears. Sometimes, I thought I feared myself. There were no limits to the things I could do as Alpha Prince, including asking for someone's death, but there were limits to mistakes and I could make, and, characters I could condone.Kaelyn looked at me, her eyes shifting. “What?”“Kaiven's seat is not for anyone else.”I didn't care if she was Kaiven's friend or not. Kaiven didn't tell me about her so she was a liar for all I knew. And I was going to find that out. And how…she knew Kaiven. She stuttered, “But there's are no other seats here.”I smirked, “There's a small stool outside, that's if you are really interested in joining the meeting.” I said and placed the chair back in it's posi
KAELYN.“That's impossible. From the beginning of Storm Academy when it was created by our ancestor, Alpha General Rhogar Vael, the student council had only be formed by six people. The Prime Alpha Prince, two Alphas from the most important packs as available, the prime alpha's beta and two smart kids. It's complete, we need no one else. The laws cannot be changed.”He seemed very agitated by my request.“But one of the seats are empty right now–”“The seat of Alpha Prince Kaiven cannot be taken!” He banged his hand on the desk angrily.Shivers ran down my spine, but that didn't stop me from moving forward.“Fine, I understand.” I stood up slowly, “But I can't help you if you refuse to help me.”“Kaelyn!” His voice made me halt in my tracks. I didn't turn back to look at him, but my hands slipped off the door knob.“Fine. I believe we can create a spot for you. It's impossible to take someone out of the student council but we can bring you in. But….” He walked towards me, “The moment
KAELYN I backed away from his grip, shrugging his hands off me. “I'm…fine.”He stared at his fingers for a while, before his eyes slowly pulled towards me. I had a feeling his hands must have landed on my chest due to the pull. My teeth captured my lower lip tightly. So hard that blood tasted in my lips.“If I hadn't caught you yet, you would have gotten the gravel. You might be dead already.”*Thank you for helping me.” “You look familiar.” He muttered, running his eyes through me. “But the person I know is a girl.” I chuckled. It escaped in broken sounds. “Double faces, I see.” I muttered. I felt sweaty as I placed my hands behind me. Right now, it's extremely hard to breathe.“I guess. That girl is a princess. There's no way she'd be you.”“It's an insult to think a bonafide member of Storm Academy would be a girl.” He seemed convinced. “Right.” He muttered, stepping backwards. “I'll see you, Kaelyn.”I hoped not to see him, anywhere else. But a Prospect….it's impossible. He

KAELYN Commander Stone burned to look at me, a sterner gaze on his face. I sighed as I placed my fingers on each other, staring down…at my shoes.“Lying against the Prime Alpha Prince is a great offence, Altair.”They would never believe me. Exactly because of that position, the prime alpha prince. I gritted my teeth in defiance but I don't dare look up.Evren Vael. Trust me when I say I would get back at you for what you did today.“Ten frog jumps, Altair. If you take a rest, you start all over again.” I bit my lips so hard I felt blood in my lips.“Do you…understand?”“Yes–” my eyes pinned on Evren, “Commander Stone.”He titled his head, nodding me off, “Go on. You have ten minutes until the class starts.” My laps hurt badly as I did the frog jumps. It's not as easy as I thought it would be, not with Commander Stone staring at me from the front of the class.” He had enough time to pay to me for someone who is a commander.I looked away as I did the eighth jump.“Hey.” Someone ca
