EVREN

The doors creaked open late at night, like it usually did since I found out my roommate was a girl.

She came back late. I went out early.

We could hardly meet in the room most times.

But tonight, “You asked about Kaiven in the your class today.”

My voice was low..I heard her halt in the middle of the room.

“I heard he is one of the students council.”

“Hmm.” I sat up, turning to face her.

“Is that the only thing you've heard about Kaiven?”

“What?” She blinked.

My feet carried me up from the bed as I walked towards her, she stepped backwards, almost stumbling into her bed…Kaiven's bed. I didn't try to catch her. I didn't care if she fell either. I'm not the kind of person to care what happened to others.

“You didn't hear about the fact that Kaiven is my best friend?” I asked.

She stared at me, with those sad eyes that suggested that she probably did. But didn't take the warning.

“Stop snooping on him.” It was a warning , “Or else, you'd regret ever coming to Storm Academy, Kaelyn.”

Her teeth chattered so loud in my eyes, it's simply because my wolf is crazily affected by sound.

I stepped back sharply, feeling the heat from her body, the sound of her breathing, the intensity of her eyes against my skin.

I felt them…too well. Her emotions slipped out, almost so I could decipher them in my head.

This was the bad part about being the prime alpha, I moved back into my bed, while Kaelyn's eyes still stared at my back.

“Do you have a problem?” I found myself asking. She's staring at me too much.

“Huhm… I understand you don't want me to talk about Kaiven. But is there any way I can join the council members?”

“What?” My head failed to wrap around her question.

“I said, I know you don't–”

“I wasn't deaf the first time,” I cut her off sharply. “What makes you think I would let you into the student council?”

“Isn't it by merit?” She asked.

I scoffed. “By merit, should you be in Storm Academy?”

Her lips parted but she couldn't say a word. I thought so.

“As long as I remain head of student couby, you, Kaelyn ‘Altair’ would never be a part of the student council.”

“But–”

“Sleep.” I muttered .

“I have –”

“Sleep, Kaelyn.” My alpha command was so strong on her that as let out a sharp gasp when she tried to defy it.

A second later, she'd climbed on her bed and stared at the wall opposite her. She'd be gone soon.

**** NEXT MORNING

“What did you find?”

Rhythe reported to me the next morning.

“Nothing, Evren. There are a lot of Kaelyn in the packs but they are female.”

“Do you have a list?” I didn't tell Rhythe that the Kaelyn I was looking for was actually a female, not a male.

“You are still trying to find his background?” Rhythe asked.

“There are things I need to know about him.”

“If he's is posing a threat to you, let me know. I'll kill him” Rhythe said.

I stared at Rhythe from the scroll he'd given me seconds ago.

“A threat?” The words rolled off my tongue like dust. Someone like Kaelyn? A light chuckle escaped my lips. Rhythe stared at me, blinking. He'd probably not understand.

“Are these all the girls on the list?” I asked.

“I mentioned all of them. Kaelyn is a rare name. So most people don't use it for their kids.” Rhythe reported, “Actually I found out it's a name for twins. Kaelyn and Kaelon.”

“Kaelon?”

“Yes.”

“Which of the Kaelyn on this list have a twin?”

“About three of them.”

My eyes narrowed at the list.

Moonborn, Shadow Vale, Brook fang, these packs were the one mostly with names as Kaelyn. But it felt something was missing. I found it.

“There's no Kaelyn Altair.”

Evren stepped closer to me, staring at the sixteen names across Virelia.

Kaelyn Altair was not one of them.

Her whole identity was fake.

KAELYN

My eyes opened sharply, the sunlight hitting me so hard. I blinked, squinting from the brightness. From the look of the sun, we should be moments into the afternoon.

I groaned as I got up from the bed. I had slept for too long, so there's a banging in my head.

Evren…

I gritted my teeth hardly.

He'd used his alpha commands on me, forcing me to bed, even when I had a question. I shouldn't have made my intent of joining the council known to him, now he's going to do everything to thwart my dream.

What was I going to do–

A gasp escaped my lips as I remembered we were supposed to have our first training today being in the level of the prospects.

Evren!!!!!

Commander Stone was going to kill me.

••••

My legs briskly walked towards the training room. As I pushed the door open, all heads turned to look at me, including Evren who had a passive look on his face.

Anger boiled within me as I stared at him, my fingers curled, biting into the palm. I was about to walk towards him when someone stepped in front, blocking my view.

“Altair, what are you doing here by this time of the day?” Commander Stone's voice came running.

I bit my lips.

His brows were creased in displeasure and probably…. disappointment.

“I'm disappointed.” He shot.

Oh, right.

“I thought you were going to be different. A star, probably. But from the looks of things, you are more worse.” He said, “Do you…have any excuses to make?”

Of course, I did.

“Evren–”

“Prime Alpha Prince.” Commander Stone corrected me faster than lightning.

My teeth ground into my flesh.

“He commanded me to sleep.”

The other students chuckled lightly, including those from the Alpha Prospects class, of whom Finn is the only recognizable person, but he was laughing too.

Shame washed through me.

“Do you expect us to believe that?” Commander Stone asked.

‘Evren is right behind you, ask him?!’

I was tempted to throw that question.

“I'm his roommate, sir. Anything is possible.”

“Evren,” Commander Stone called without taking his eyes off from me.

Evren appeared beside him in a blink.

“Is Kaelyn speaking the truth?” Stone asked.

Evren stared at me, eyes narrowed for a second, “I have no idea what Kaelyn is talking about.”

My eyes widened.

What?

KAELYN.The white haired guy stands up and walked out of the place, leaving me with only Dareth and Soren.Dareth leaned closer, “So seriously, the headmaster just appointed you as a vassal members of the student union.” “I wonder..” I muttered curiously, “what does the student union do?”He smirked, “Nothing in particular. We just…lounge around.”“Truthfully speaking, Evren's the one that does most around here. Why? Can you snatch his place and push him out?”“What? He's the Prime Alpha Prince. That's impossible.” I snapped.Soren’s eyes narrowed and I can tell he lost all the pleasure he might have had speaking with me before. “I see.” He muttered, pushed his chair backwards aand walked out.Dareth smiled, “So you are bad at taking jokes. Interesting.” “Was that meant to be a joke?” I asked.“Soren makes dark jokes most of the time. If you can't understand, you'd be his enemy. I think you are marked for that. Congratulations.”“That's not something to be happy about.” I scoffed.H

  • The Female Prince    A council danger

EVREN How she managed to get into the student council through Thronhelm is none of my business. But I clearly warned her not to and she did.I smirked slightly as I walked away from the assembly. Being in the student council, Kaelyn wouldn't expect in.“Don't,” I said quietly, my voice eerie to my own ears. Sometimes, I thought I feared myself. There were no limits to the things I could do as Alpha Prince, including asking for someone's death, but there were limits to mistakes and I could make, and, characters I could condone.Kaelyn looked at me, her eyes shifting. “What?”“Kaiven's seat is not for anyone else.”I didn't care if she was Kaiven's friend or not. Kaiven didn't tell me about her so she was a liar for all I knew. And I was going to find that out. And how…she knew Kaiven. She stuttered, “But there's are no other seats here.”I smirked, “There's a small stool outside, that's if you are really interested in joining the meeting.” I said and placed the chair back in it's posi

KAELYN.“That's impossible. From the beginning of Storm Academy when it was created by our ancestor, Alpha General Rhogar Vael, the student council had only be formed by six people. The Prime Alpha Prince, two Alphas from the most important packs as available, the prime alpha's beta and two smart kids. It's complete, we need no one else. The laws cannot be changed.”He seemed very agitated by my request.“But one of the seats are empty right now–”“The seat of Alpha Prince Kaiven cannot be taken!” He banged his hand on the desk angrily.Shivers ran down my spine, but that didn't stop me from moving forward.“Fine, I understand.” I stood up slowly, “But I can't help you if you refuse to help me.”“Kaelyn!” His voice made me halt in my tracks. I didn't turn back to look at him, but my hands slipped off the door knob.“Fine. I believe we can create a spot for you. It's impossible to take someone out of the student council but we can bring you in. But….” He walked towards me, “The moment

KAELYN I backed away from his grip, shrugging his hands off me. “I'm…fine.”He stared at his fingers for a while, before his eyes slowly pulled towards me. I had a feeling his hands must have landed on my chest due to the pull. My teeth captured my lower lip tightly. So hard that blood tasted in my lips.“If I hadn't caught you yet, you would have gotten the gravel. You might be dead already.”*Thank you for helping me.” “You look familiar.” He muttered, running his eyes through me. “But the person I know is a girl.” I chuckled. It escaped in broken sounds. “Double faces, I see.” I muttered. I felt sweaty as I placed my hands behind me. Right now, it's extremely hard to breathe.“I guess. That girl is a princess. There's no way she'd be you.”“It's an insult to think a bonafide member of Storm Academy would be a girl.” He seemed convinced. “Right.” He muttered, stepping backwards. “I'll see you, Kaelyn.”I hoped not to see him, anywhere else. But a Prospect….it's impossible. He

KAELYN “Sit down.” Mason waved at me and I slowly skipped back into my seat. “What's wrong?” Davyn asked, “Why did you suddenly hit your hand that way?”I sighed as my eyes flickered back towards Evren and he's no longer there. What?I looked around. He's not in the cafeteria anymore. That signified the end of my lunch as I rushed out of my seat and left the building. My eyes caught him as he bent down the corner and I rushed towards him, almost bumping into him.He was waiting.I blinked, “You knew I was following you?”He looked at me, amused. “Isn't that much obvious?” I bit my lips hard. “You…what you did last night –”He stepped closer to me, cutting me off. “If I were you, Kaelyn, I'd stay away from me.” He turned, about to walk away.“Who on earth do you think you are?” I fired, stepping into his front. I didn't come to Storm Academy, passed through all those hurdles to get into the highest level I could attain, only to be bullied by someone who got it easily.Of a truth, o

KAELYN Commander Stone burned to look at me, a sterner gaze on his face. I sighed as I placed my fingers on each other, staring down…at my shoes.“Lying against the Prime Alpha Prince is a great offence, Altair.”They would never believe me. Exactly because of that position, the prime alpha prince. I gritted my teeth in defiance but I don't dare look up.Evren Vael. Trust me when I say I would get back at you for what you did today.“Ten frog jumps, Altair. If you take a rest, you start all over again.” I bit my lips so hard I felt blood in my lips.“Do you…understand?”“Yes–” my eyes pinned on Evren, “Commander Stone.”He titled his head, nodding me off, “Go on. You have ten minutes until the class starts.” My laps hurt badly as I did the frog jumps. It's not as easy as I thought it would be, not with Commander Stone staring at me from the front of the class.” He had enough time to pay to me for someone who is a commander.I looked away as I did the eighth jump.“Hey.” Someone ca
