Jaxon was not supposed to kiss her. He should have taken her home right after dinner, kept things simple, clean, forgettable. But he did not want the night to end. And to be honest, he was surprised at himself for holding back that long without giving in to the urge to taste her lips.

Then she had looked up at him, soft, beautiful, nervous and asked, “Why me?”

But that was a mistake. A huge mistake. He had known it the moment she opened the door wearing that tight, blush pink top and jeans that hugged every curve like they were meant just for her. She looked good. No, she looked incredible. And it shook him.
