Mara POV
I felt the presence of someone in my back since I was backing the door and I turned to the person. I was shocked and scared when I found out that it was Damon.
He was looking so dangerous and fierce and his eyes were dark.
"I'm very sorry, I don't mean to anger you.. I was just longing to read the book.. I'm very sorry" I said, bowing my head. I looked up and I found out that his eyes were softened.
"Apologies accepted but not fully... You can read the book only here and nowhere else and your punishment just increased" He replied.
"Thank you. I don't care about the punishment because if there is life there is hope" I replied.
"Well, I prepared a special dish for you with the items in the kitchen" I said.
"I did not send you," He replied. I tried to look at his eyes again but I nervously brought it down.
"I insist you eat it because you looked hungry" I replied.
