  Night fell.

I wasn’t sure when it had started to rain.

When Cristin found a deserted thatched house and helped me in, I was already drenched.

The cold, deep-rooted chill started from the soles of my feet and quickly spread to my whole body.

Even though Cristin had helped me change my clothes and found some dried leaves to make a fire, I was still shivering with cold.
