CHAPTER FIVE

Adam's POV

I found my mate., Finally. My head was filled with her image. Pretty; red curly hair, looked like a burning fire, when she turned the first thing that caught my attention was her eyes, they were brown but with a hit of red; almost maroon, high cheekbones, very slightly tanned, she was glowing under the sun she seems like an easy catch, she was strong taller than most of the women I have seen.

Jason one of my elite warriors was blabbering and talking to her. I never supported his goal of sleeping with every woman he would ever see, but he never changes. Whenever he starts to flirt with women I just walk away, I had women swoon over me, it was fun before, I used to take advantage of every single one. 

He respects them, at least that's what he says, what he does with women is non of my business. I am okay with whatever he does, as long as it does involve me

She rejected me, slapped me, humiliated me in front of my friends within 2 minutes of meeting her. She's got some nerve

Who was she? The Alpha s daughter or something. Blood Stone pack has seized a lot of power in these last few months, I heard my father talk about this pack once a few years ago. He told me the Alpha was coward and the pack was so small and underdeveloped. I don't know who the Alpha is now but he sure is great to have acquired so much success within this amount of time.

There had been a lot of complications making me the Alpha, I wasn't the one who was supposed to rule, but now the council members have no choice but to give me power. No one wanted me to rule, they never even tried to hide it. The elders never supported me, so a deal was made. I had to be successful in various things, have knowledge about everything that has happened in the past and what is happening currently, know how to lead a war, physical strength, forcefully train my element and last get my mate. So I have gotten away with anything, except that stupid mate thing, well not anymore

I don't intend on keeping her, she s too much; her strength, stubbornness, and everything; It s cute I got to admit, but love, always gets in the way of things. I already told my father that I have found my mate, and it was a time that he finally agreed and accept defeat.

If you start loving someone then losing them will ruin you intensely.

I didn't believe in the mate thing, 2 half's in a whole, an imaginary string that connects you both, so much bullshit.

From when I was younger my dad taught me never to love, it's so dangerous. It makes you crazy. Did she make me crazy, no absolutely not and I am not gonna let her.

I broke into her house, the nice room she had. Well there were only 2 rooms and one was completely white, classy and the other one was painted with shades of blue, furniture was all wooden.

Her smell was all over the blue room, it was comforting. There was one painting it was shades of grey, black and white, it was a girl she had wings, all her feathers were falling, her wings were bleeding, she was scared, it reminded me of someone, I didn't know she painted. She must have been surprised seeing me sitting in her chair., I enjoyed seeing her flushed face, sweat making her hair a darker rustic color. I found it amusing.

I will have to meet with the alpha of her pack, get more information about her from him.

I  have been very busy currently, a few months ago my father decided that its time I took power. So today everyone will know.

Dawn's POV

I felt self-conscious, I was sweating the clothes were sticking a bit on my body. I hated it. My body felt visible to his eyes. Adam Black, I don't think he is from the Black family, they are very respected people. They always had security around, which he didn't have so most likely he isn't a member of THE Black family. I read about them once, I don't know much only that they hold a lot of power.

"Okay, now get out before I throw you back down from the window "He grinned brightly and decided to jump from the window, I didn't even bother to check if was okay, even if he broke a bone or hopefully everything he would heal, he's part wolf, I shouldn't worry

It was 6:50 pm, soon two warriors will arrive at my house. I needed to get to the Ball by 8:00 pm. They said formal wear. I don't plan on wearing a dress. I have one. It's plain black. No patters no shimmery shit. Plain.

I'll wear my nice jeans; that's the most amount of presentable I can give, light blue washed jeans and a black turtle neck sweater. It wasn't cold outside but they freeze the ball until its -12 degrees Celsius. Also because I still wasn't comfortable. I made a French braid wrapped in and made a lower bun.

I heard a knock on my door, "Alpha Dawn, we are ready for you. Should we leave now? Or do you need more time; if so we can wait, "I was ready, I didn't wear makeup, I don't wear anymore. I did years ago. Why attract attention.

I can't do the things I want to because some people have restricted me from doing so.

I took my gun, pocket knife, and necklace. I never lost the necklace. Even when I showered I wore it. Before leaving my house, I drank some water. Way too many people try to poison me. What to do, I have so many fans who want to kill me.

"Alright what are your names, I am driving. I hope you have some weapons with you. You need to stay with me for the first hour then you may leave, ask someone to get my bike once you reach back. I will go home alone. Any questions? "They were both dressed in black jeans and tank tops, hair tied up in high ponytails.  The blonde lady answered me.

"I am Silvia and this is Ashly, we have our weapons. Yes, Alpha we obey whatever you say."

Good let's just finish this useless gathering

It was a 20min drive. I hate speaking while driving but I need to know who all were coming other than the Alphas and who conducted this Gathering, this was my first Ball ever so I had no choice but to ask the warriors. Apparently, it's held by the King of Alphas,  I don't know who I have met and not, maybe I have met him.

I don't know! he wants to make a big announcement it seems. I want that position, Queen of Alphas sounds nice. The king or queen has full control over every pack in the world. I am pretty sure the King has more powers than the Queen. If I ever get that position, I want the same powers as the King, if there ever will be a King. I am not saying one should have more powers, just make it equal is that too much to ask.
