I carry the little boy to the hospital. He falls asleep in my arms; the sight melts my cold heart. Everyone in my way eyes me suspiciously while I grin like an idiot. 

Suddenly, Onyx decides to show up. It's been a while since I've felt his presence. He's weak, but scratching the mental wall between us is driving me insane. 

I can always talk to Onyx later- any sudden movement can wake up the miracle sleeping in my arms. 

These days I need to focus on Selena's health and the mess with the werewolf council. I wouldn't say they're happy about my decision- someone ascending the throne takes away far too many lands and power from the old fucks.
