(Raymond's POV)

“Please, Raymond. You’re my last hope,” he pleaded.

I looked at him, feeling bad that he was the one stuck in the middle. I had planned for Elizabeth to spend a full week in police custody, but now my heart was beginning to soften.

For a woman her age, someone who wasn’t used to a place like that, three days in there was enough punishment.

If I ever thought of changing the plan, it would only be because of the history I once shared with Mason... But even that would only happen if Patricia approved it. If she said no, then it stayed no.

“Ray…” he whispered again.

I sighed and rubbed my temples. “It’s not a promise, but I’ll see what I can do.”

Mason’s face brightened immediately. “Thanks, Ray.” he said.

I nodded, but no matter how much I thought about it, I still didn’t understand why Mason had allowed his family to treat Patricia so cruelly. No matter what, she was his wife.

"But how could you let your family treat her so badly?" I asked, unable to hold it in

(Patricia’s POV) “Patricia,” the voice called. I knew that voice. It was Mason’s. Why did I have to run into him today? I already had so much going on today, and now I had to face him too? I let out a weak sigh and slowly turned around. Mason stood there with his son by his side. I had forgotten that his son also attended this school. Of course, Mason had come to pick him up too. “How… how are you doing, Pat?” he asked quietly. I didn’t respond. How I was doing had nothing to do with him anymore. I folded my arms tightly across my chest and stared at him, waiting impatiently for whatever reason he had for stopping me. There was still a small bandage on his nose and a few bruises on his face. His nose had been broken that night, but it wasn’t as swollen anymore. My eyes moved between him and his son. The little boy stared at me with wide, curious eyes, as if trying to remember where he had seen me before. I had nothing against the child. He was innocent, even though his existe

(Patricia’s POV)“You mean to say you found these on the grave?” James asked, his eyes widening. We were at the office now, and I had just told him about the pictures. He picked them up from the table and stared at them in disbelief.“And that man I saw… maybe it was him,” I said softly.James looked at me, even more surprised. He hadn’t seen the man. If he had, he would have followed him.“But I don’t understand why he was hiding. Why didn’t he want to meet me?” I murmured, confused.“Maybe it wasn’t Alonso you saw,” James said, trying to ease my thoughts. He was only trying to stop me from overthinking. But if it wasn’t him, then who else could it be? Besides, I had seen someone like him days ago at the airport. Was that also a coincidence?I sighed and rubbed my temple. “Maybe,” I murmured in agreement, then picked up the file in front of me. “Anyway, who sent this document?”James cleared his throat. “It’s from Mr. Kane, ma’am.”A small smile curved my lips as I leaned back in my

(Patricia’s POV) Three days had passed, and I was still here pretending I didn’t feel empty with Raymond away. And I knew I wasn’t the only one... Julie missed him too. I was fully dressed for work, and Julie was ready for school. It was just the two of us now… well, until our big daddy returned. Julie held my hand as we walked out of the house. But the moment she saw Timothy, her face dropped, understanding what it meant. She looked up at me with sad eyes, her lips forming a small, cute pout. I sighed and crouched down to her level. “I’m sorry, princess. I really can’t take you to school this morning,” I said softly. “Timothy will be taking you.” “But I promise I’ll pick you up after school,” I added quickly. I didn’t want her to be sad even for a second. “And then we can eat ice cream together.” Her face lit up immediately when she heard that I would come to pick her up. I smiled and gently tapped her nose. “So, how does that sound?” I asked teasingly, raising my eyebrows.

  • The Forsaken Wife's Empire   Chapter 102: Raymond’s Business Trip

(Patricia’s POV) I opened my eyes and realized I was still in Raymond’s arms. My head rested softly on his chest, and his hand gently stroked my back. He was already awake. “Good morning, sunshine,” he said, placing a warm kiss on my forehead. I smiled softly and snuggled deeper into his arms. I always loved being there. His arms made me feel loved and safe. “Good morning, honey,” I replied with a sweet smile. It had been a few days since we returned from the villa, yet neither of us had gone to work. We had stayed home together, loving each other and taking care of one another. I wished we could spend more days like this... maybe even the whole week... but Raymond had an important business meeting abroad. He would be leaving today. “Did you sleep well?” he asked quietly. I nodded and finally lifted my head to look at him. He was smiling, his eyes filled with happiness. That smile always warmed my heart. I had never seen him smile like that at anyone else, and I was starting t

(Patricia’s POV)Mason pulled his arm away so fast that I lost my balance and fell to the ground, hitting my knee on the tiled floor.“Ouch,” I winced in pain.Raymond’s head snapped toward me immediately. The moment he saw me on the floor, his eyes burned with anger and his jaw tightened. His fist clenched hard... and before I knew it, his hand shot forward and slammed straight into Mason’s face.“How dare you hurt her?!” he yelled, rage pouring out of him as his fist connected with Mason’s lips.It felt like Raymond had been holding himself back before… but seeing me get hurt snapped something inside him.Mason staggered backwards, but Raymond was already furious. I recognized that look...it was the same dangerous anger I saw the day I had a cut on my lip, the day Elizabeth slapped me.Raymond rushed at Mason again and delivered another heavy punch to his face. And just like that, the fight escalated. This wasn’t an argument anymore… it became a full-blown physical fight.Panic sho

(Mason's POV)I sighed, rubbing my temples. Really? So these were the lies she could come up with."They’ve been married for a while now, and they made it official two days ago," she continued."How shameless can you be to slander Patricia like that?" I said, disappointed. "Patricia would never do that to me, and Raymond? He would never betray me by marrying my wife!""You don’t believe me?" Rose asked. "You can check for yourself. It’s all over the internet anyway!"Before I could respond, she held up her phone, making sure I saw the trending news. I sighed at her persistence and reluctantly looked at the screen.>>>"For Real: Mr. Raymond Salvador confirmed at his company’s event that he is married to Mrs. Patricia Addison, president of Smithfield!" one headline read."Shocking revelation: Mr. Salvador and Mrs. Addison announce their marriage," said another.
