Chapter 88

Fiona’s POV

With the first clue sorted out, we had begun our journey. One of the most tedious things any if us had encountered in all our days. It was like we had entered a rollercoaster with no control, like we were stuck in a giant endless limbo of some sorts.

We had followed the of the map which had directed us to a lone island right in the middle of nowhere. We had the lost difficult times struggling to maneuver our way through the unstable, wild terrain of the island.

We spent days and nights scrimping on our food and water supplies and camping in the open air while searching for the ancient relic where we had encountered the most deadly of traps.

Eventually our prayers were answered.

The relic lay hidden in its heart, a monolithic ruin of weathered stone covered in twisting vines. Strange, ancient symbols—almost like hieroglyphs—snaked along the walls, their meaning just barely out of reach.

But before we could even think of deciphering them, the traps came.
