“Alex,” Commander Raja called.

“I won’t be caught off guard like last time.” Alex started playing her kantele, and the swirling black clouds dissipated, bringing the moon back in view in the night sky.

Before long, the enemy fliers appeared over the wall. Changing her tune to a fiery tempo, all the tips of the ballista bolts were magically set ablaze. With one powerful pluck against the strings, the ballistae were unleashed, followed by a volley of arrows from our archers. As the enemy fliers deflected or evaded, Alex returned to her previous tune, ensuring the night sky remained clear.
