Chapter 4.

The class was calm, no one dared to say a word as the literature teacher kept walking across the room to and fro, the only thing people did was drum their fingers on the desk. They calmly waited as he read an extremely long and argumentative book, they waited for him to end the last chapter so they could argue and disagree with the author, "So Elizabeth left with her kids and Taylor was never threatened again, the end." The man said as he closed the book, silence filled the air and nobody said a word, not until Jay broke the silence. "What kinda book is that." Jay shouted.

        "What a jerk." Autumn sighed.

When Adam heard this he was in shock, he turned to Jay and replied. "I don't see anything wrong with it, the book is just perfect."

"What!" All the girls shouted.

He continued, "Hey, she couldn't please the poor guy, its not his fault." The teacher didn't agree with his student and joined the girls.

He took out his phone and began typing some word, once he finished he puts down his phone and faces Adam. "Are you seriously saying that, even I disagree with the author and am a teacher."

"Am just saying, if she was probably a good kisser none of this would had happened." The smile on his face meant he was not going to change his mind, every of his old classmate knew the Adam smile, which was very influential when it comes to getting at your nerves, but Autumn wasn't going to stop.

"Kissing every morning, geez that sounds boring." She said.

Melanie nodded in respons, "I know right." She said.

She kept her head high and continued her argument which was getting into their heads, "Besides, if she wasn't good in bed then how did they have three kids."

      "Might be luck." Emily laughed.

"Yeah." Jay said.

"Jay, what are you saying, who knows maybe the husband wasn't the terrible kisser, what do you think Mr Freddy." Adam said, they turned to Mr Freddy for an answer and after thinking he says, "Hmm, if he was terrible he wouldn't have a mistress."

      "See." Adam said.

Melanie couldn't bear it anymore, so she shouted out, "This book is terrible, who wrote it."

Mr Freddy, brought the book close to his face then read outloud, "Howard McDonald."

      "Terrible name." Adam said.

       "Agreed." The class yeld.

"Its no wonder his books are terrible." They agreed.

"Then why do people read it." Daniel asked.

Mr Freddy, just smiles and gently replies, "Why else, to argue of course. Oh come on, no one likes this book, they just like arguing about it." No one was surprised about this, if more than half of the class including the teacher hated this book then the possibility of the world hating the book was high.

"That's because he's a real asshole." Autumn blurted out starting another argument.

"No, she couldn't satisfy her husband." Adam said.

She was clearly irritated by his behavior, everyone had accepted how stupid the book was except him, his actions were selfish and this made the teacher focus his attention on him, "That doesn't mean you can cheat on your wife in front of her and her kids, they were not even ten for crying out loud." She shouted.

"Yeah what kinda father is he". Melanie asked.

He gave a naughty smile and then it was accompanied by a terrible answer, "The one who loves sex, I believe he's married to pleasure than to his wife."

"Wow, I can't believe you noticed." Jay said in annoyance.

"I still stand by my word, he was not a good kisser, if he was and she wasn't, he would had showed her how its done." Autumn said, their argument seemed to be deviating from the topic but the teacher just watched and when he felt he had had enough he called for their attention, "Children." He said, but all of them seemed to turn a blind eye not caring about him or what he had to say, Emily turned to him and said, "Shh, can't you see we're arguing."

Their teacher was caught by surprise. "Excuse me?" He yelled but no one seemed to care.

"Maybe all men are terrible kissers". Melanie said as she joined Autumn.

"What?" Adam was clearly in shock with what she said.

"Hold up, if the men are terrible, what about the yet to be men." Jay asked,

"Oh, you mean the JUST boys." Autumn smiled, the expression on their faces changed and Adam only grew more annoyed.

"Just boys." He said.

"They're probably worst." Melanie added.

"Excuse me, not all boys are like Taylor." He snapped.

"Oh please, so you finally admit it, that Taylor was a terrible kisser." The smile on their face had made Adam confused and cornered he was speechless at how easy it was for them to turn the tables around.

"No..., am only saying...," he stammered.

"That most men and boys are terrible kissers." Adam stood from his chair and walked straight up to Autumn and stood next to her, "Get up." He shouted, nobody had seen this side of Adam before, the expression on his face left quite an audience, thinking about what might be his next move, the students kept an eye on him, including the teacher, suddenly he grabbed Autumn's chin and drew it closer, then he sealed her lips with a kiss, a very mind blowing kiss that left everyone, including Autumn speechless.

"Wow." Daniel said, Melanie watched the both of them closely but said nothing.

"That's how men does it, now for my question, have you even kissed a guy before?" He asked but she gave no reply, all she did was ignore him. "I thought as much, otherwise you won't argue like this, if you've never kissed a guy then how do you know that we are terrible kissers and what gives you the right to argue. Any futher doubts." He asked, but no one said a word.

"Good." He turned to the teacher and quickly avoided eye contacts but Mr Freddy, had a smile on his face.

"Oh, I see what's going on. Class, looks like we have a stole away." They look at him with shock in their eyes but he just maintained his gaze at Adam.

"Explain." Melanie said.

"He's been possessed by a notorious ghost." He said, confusion was plastered all over their face, even Jay didn't know about it so it was hard to believe.

"And how come we don't see it." Jay asked,

"That's because, he's very clever and knows a lot of tricks."

"Yeah right and how do we believe you." Mr Freddy, found them hilarious, these kids had no idea of who they were dealing with.

"I teach children about the supernatural, what else do you want." He said, now that explained a lot.

"True." They agreed.

"Come on, Georgie." Shocked by his words they stared at him "You know his name." They shouted.

"Of course."

Adam huffed and finally laughed, "Aww, I just got here." The teacher laughed with him before his smiled faded away, he returned to work mode and said,

"Listen don't forget the rules. You are only allowed to take possession of the body if..."

"He's dead. I know, but trust me it wasn't my fault, I was just floating through when she came along." Said Kyle as he cut him short, Autumn snapped when she heard this so she turned towards him, "Hey what did I do?" She asked,

"You annoyed me, that's what." They were silent for some seconds and all this time she was bothered by something, she looked at him and drew nearer, once she got it she shouted,

"You, that's right, you're the ghost who possessed me right?"

"Exactly how dumb is she, of course that was me." He asked,

"Hey." Her expression changed and she looked serious, Mr, Freddy. Understanding this look quickly cut in, the last thing he would want is a clash of 'Fire and Diesel'.

"Ok, Georgie, seems to me like you were allowed to school with the ghosts however its time to leave else I'll have to call the principal."

"Fuck the principal, you use him all the time am tired already." He said, suddenly a quick breeze was felt and everyone stared at the direction which it came from, before them stood a young ghost, he was about to walk out of the class when he stopped. "Oh, and one more thing, just so you know I was just following orders." He tells her. Everyone was silent but shocked as the ghost walked away.

The next day when school was over, she as usual offered Autumn a ride, tension could be felt miles away as the two friends found it difficult to associate, at lunch and in class, there was this pleasant distance between them.

"Here we are." Said Melanie as she broke the awkward silence.

Autumn stared at her for a while, "You don't have to do this." She said.

"If I don't then who will?" She found no answer to her question and chose to remain quiet, she gave a sigh and then let out her thoughts, "Are you sure your not mad?"

"Hey, am your best friend, if I was angry you'll probably know." She answered, "and to prove it, here." She opened a beautiful box and brought out an adorable charm bracelet. "Its my favorite bracelet, you can have it." She wrapped it around Autumn's wrist and brought out a key, she locked the braclet and took the key, Autumn had a different expression.

"Why a lock?" She asked, but all Melanie did was smile,

"A sign of our friendship, it can't be broken okay."

Autumn was happy to have cleared the misunderstanding, she thought of herself as lucky, "Thanks, I've never had a friend like you to be honest I never had a friend, I always thought I didn't need one but that's different now since I have you guys, you've changed me, thank you." Melanie smile quickly faded as Autumn left, she was clearly disappointed at something but soon she drove away.

"Am home" shouted Autumn as she opened the door, everyone looked happy, happier than usual, when ever they are this happy Autumn is always worried,

"Okay, what's up?" She asked,

"Come on". Said Arthur, they walked straight to the garage and opened it, slowly an image began to show,

"Is that... A car?"

"Yes, we decided to buy a car since my pay check is huge, but in the mean time I can drive the mini van and you can have this one, that is you and your brother okay." This was probably the best news she's received ever since she got here, she had no words left in her mouth, unlike the Autumn who had a response to every word you say, this time she was actually speechless.

She went to bed still finding it difficult to believe if what she heard and saw was right, she pinched herself but still she couldn't get rid of the memories, and for the first time she was happy about moving to Greenville, if not for the car then it would be for her friends, slowly she loved the city, its annoying alarm and So much more but...
