Talia (9 years later Part 3)

As I am sobbing my heart out, I feel a sharp pain in my abdomen. Shane and I were happy together and he does this to me. I felt him do it a few times, but this one is more painful. Wolves can feel their mates emotions once they have mated. More strongly when they mark each other as well. Yes, Shane and I have had sex. A LOT of sex. So, it is to no surprise that I have felt him with another. I haven’t told him about us being a wolf. However, I don’t think I ever will.

‘It’s time, Soteria.’ I say in between crying. ‘ Yes, love. But just so you know, we will birth pup soon after. The pain will be too much for us to bear. I’ll help heal as best I can, but pup will be here no doubt.’ She responds. We had known we were with pup for 5 months now. One more month and we would have given birth. But I need to reject mate because I can’t handle the cheating no more. I’m aware of the risks, and the possibility of not being able to find a mate again. Well mainly because most man wolves don’t want to share a pup with another male. I won’t do that to my pup. She will always be protected!

I take a deep breath and say the words I never wanted to say with a shakily breath. At least I don’t have to wait for his response, “I Talia Everest, of the Everest Pack, hereby reject Shane Wilkins as my mate and I sever our connection the Moon Goddess had given us.” Searing pain rips through my chest as my heart shatters. The pain in my stomach worsens.

We decided to this outside of the pack borders, just near the river and under a hollow tree I had made when I was scared. Sometimes humans wonder by it and use it as shelter. I don’t mind. However, as I howl in pain, trying to stay awake and birth my pup, but also not focus on the pain in my chest, I hear a stick break. ‘Fuck not now! Soteria rogues?’ I ask in banted breaths. It is getting harder to breath. ‘No, human Talia. He smells friendly. Pup may die; we need help!’ She panics.

As I am taking short breaths, I see a man appear. We just stare at each other. He starts to inch closer to me and I growl a warning growl. He stops and extends his hand slowly. “I I I just want to help. I live in the neighboring pack. You look like Alpha Thallium’s sister. Um, T Talia right?” He nervously asks. I just look at him. He looks like one of the humans who has sanctuary amongst our allied packs. I don’t remember his name.

“If you’d like I can run back and…..” he began but I cut him off angrily roaring. “NO!!! Are you a doctor?!?!” He jumps back and shakenly replies, “ Yyyes but I have only worked on humans and wolf pups since they are hu… Well, you know miss.” He bows slightly. At least he knows how to treat a ranked member regardless of which pack they are from. “Just help me give birth, then you can be on your way. Soteria says we are losing our pup, is there a way you can check?” I tell him quickly.

“Not without the machines, but if you let me check your pelvis I can see how far along you are miss.” He rushes out. I nod my head in approval and he quickly, but cautiously makes his way towards me to examine me. I was wearing a dress since most clothes hadn’t fit me for a while. Not even my normal black baggie sweatpants, with a colorful tank and a baggie sweatshirt on top. Yeah, I was that huge at 5 months. By the six month I would be a boat.

He reaches under my dress and inserts his fingers to check me. “Miss you need to push, you are ready.” He says urgently. I just push, not caring if I rip or so he says. He was telling me something, but all I cared about was saving my pup. Then when I saw him hold my pup, his eyes are what scared me the most. He didn’t look sure about something.

“WHAT!?!?” I shouted. Why was he worried? Did something happen? Did I push so hard I broke her head? I don’t know what to think or do but I need to know why he is worried!

“Sorry miss, this is my first time helping with a wolf birth. Your baby is fine, just different I think.” He hands me my little girl, and I see why he was concerned. She has black eyes. It is abnormal but I don’t care. Like humans, the eye color will change over time. I just hope it is not red, like Soteria. That would be a give away that she or would be gifted.

“Like humans, her eyes will change color. No worries.” I assured him. “Miss, you need to be hospitalized. I think. Should I tell my Alpha and let him know, or tell your brother?” He asks as he scratches his head. I smiled at him and hum out, “No need Hun. I linked my brother just now. He’ll be here as well as some warriors to help me. What is your name so I can send a gift for helping me?” Why does he look surprised? I just want to show how thankful I am.

“Actually Miss, I was wondering if I can swing by anytime to help with your pup? I have noticed you were alone. From what I gather single mom wolves are frowned upon. If that’s alright with you miss. Oh! my name is, Taim Salem.” I am shocked by his knowledge, but I settle upon him visiting or even babysitting for me once I’m able to go back to work.

My brother came and collected us. Taim went home. I have wondered what to call my sweet baby girl and then it hit me. Adina. It means, ‘the gentle one.’ ‘I love pup’s name. Moon Goddess has a wolf picked out for her already. She is willing to tell us if you want?’ Soteria is wagging her tail in my head and prancing around happily. She was so focused in keeping our pup alive that hearing her fan over her is a relief. I laugh, ‘Sure, what is her wolf’s name?’ ‘Her name is Xena. And yes, she will be a guardian wolf like us.’ Soteria rasps out. I’ll forever be happy with my pup. Hopefully, my life will be better now that I can’t be mated again. If only I hadn’t forgotten about second chances.

Alpha AustinI feel movement to my right and I turn to look. Expecting to see my beautiful Talia in my arms, her face stuck with hair, and she is just waking up. Only, when I turn to see her, I am met with a familiar face that I wasn’t expecting to come to until later.“She fucking healed me, didn’t she?” Enzo asked me while growling angerly. I responded with the same tone, “Yes. She is mated to you now, she just wanted to help.” I explained. He looks away before saying, “She doesn’t get to make that choice for me.” Then he gets up and walks out of the hospital room. I check the clock. It has been almost twenty-four hours since Adina went missing. I sigh and get up. I walk out the room, thanked the nurses and doctors, and then left the hospital bed. I mind linked Zane, ‘News now. And keep an eye on Enzo.’ He responds right away. ‘Alpha, they think they have found a spot between this pack and another that may have an illusion spell on it. They seem to have gotten the pixie

Talia I wake up and I am face down on top of Alpha Austin. I look over to my left and I see Enzo. Peacefully sleeping. I slowly and gently get off Alpha Austin. I look at the clock that is above the bed. Wow, its only been seventeen hours since my kid has been taken. I start to walk out of the room. Down the stairs. And out into the hospital entrance. While there I decided to check in with my brother about everything. ‘Hey, I take it no Adina yet?’ As I waited for his response I start to walk towards my house. Then I get a response from him. ‘Fucker! Seventeen hours I have been searching for her. I think I have a hunch, but I am not sure if it’ll work.’ I stop in my tracks. That’s interesting. Samuel must have help, if my brother is clueless. ‘What is your hunch then?’ I ask him. He tells me what he thinks and what he has tried. A thought occurred to me, and I figured I should ask him. ‘Hey do you have meat near you?’ There was a moment of silence, before he told me h

Alpha Thallium It has been a little over two hours now and still nothing has happened to the sticks and leaves. I take in a deep breath and then release. Okay, that didn’t work. I walk over to the boulder and swipe the sticks and leaves off it. I look around and I see some blueberry and a raspberry bush. I walk over there and grab a few of each. Then I placed them on the boulder. Maybe it is enticed by fruit? I walk back to the tree line and watch the boulder again. I start to wonder what is going on in there, if there is anything going on in there. I have heard of witches cable of doing this. However, Miss Kim said it is illegal in there law due to the potential harm it cause to ones psyche. Please don’t let Adina be in there. I don’t know what we would do or how to get her out and help her. What I am thinking is worse then being in a mental hospital. Adina wouldn’t be able to live alone for the rest of her life. She is so young, it would hurt her so much. Or what if th

  • The Gifted Rejected She-Wolf   Chapter 30

Alpha Thallium Shade is sniffing the area where my niece was, and we noticed that Alpha Samuel’s scent is here as well as Riely. Shade growls because he is pissed. ‘Sister is mourning losses so much lately.’ He tells me. I mentally sigh, before he takes off in the direction of Adina’s scent again. Only for it to lead to the same damn vacant patch in between my pack and another. I don’t even recall this area being here. It has circling trees on the outside, grass in the circle, and a huge bolder there. When we contacted the Alpha of the other pack, he said his members don’t travel this far and the last he had been here, he thought someone was building a home here. Which is weird because my niece’s scent keeps ending up here. I might need to ask Talia if they go here a lot. If not then maybe witchery, but who? Witches are usually keeping to themselves and don’t want to interfere with our kind. My link is off as I am so focused on what I am doing. Shade sniffs the boulder, ‘Th

Alpha AustinAs we approach Enzo’s room, what Talia said hits me. He is mated to her to. I never imagined I would have to share a mate, but if the moon goddess thinks this will work then we can make it work. The question is, would he be willing as well? I got him that book because he told me he has had suspensions that his family lied to their pack for years. If so, then they all have had or have fated mates somewhere out there. We get to his room and she gasps. I look over at her, and she is covering her mouth, and her eyes are glazed over. She must have been communicating with Enzo’s doctor. I wrap my arms around her and kiss her shoulder. Whatever the doctor is saying, it must not be good. He looks so terrible with his arm broken like that. He had blood covering him, a huge gash in his torso big enough to look like he had been stabbed multiple times. His clothes were strewn around the ground as well. What was odd was that he was positioned as if someone had put him tha

  • The Gifted Rejected She-Wolf   Chapter 28

Talia As we are carrying Enzo pack to the packhouse, I look around. She was nearby, where did they go? The pack doctor had to give Enzo a sleeping medication. He was rambling when we found him. When Jack made an appearance at the front of the packhouse, most of the rouges had run off. Few were captured and kept alive for questioning. That was when Jack said he had to go help Enzo, he was too wounded, but he went after Adina while he looked for rouges to feed from. Enzo had so many wounds on him, it’s amazing he survived. What happened to him? Why does he tingle when I touch him as well? Alpha Austin was walking beside me and helping with Enzo. He looks hurt, and I couldn’t figure out why. As we are walking through the grounds to the pack hospital, I wince. The death of so many people and children. Rouges, warriors, some higher ranks. I mind link my brother, ‘We need to question the Gamma.’ I tell him. I get no response, but I know he received it because his link is still
