Chapter 23 - Repair

During this long journey, Mother explained my question this afternoon. Since the sun had already set and it was supposed to be, the proposal took place this afternoon at three o'clock. Huh! Because of my uncertain feelings, finally my engagement event was postponed until later everything was ready. My mind just kept grumbling annoyed because of my own actions.

"Since yesterday Mom and Dad have been chatting with the young man who loves you. He really will make you the happiest woman in his life. That's what he told us. He kept convincing Mom and Dad to accept his proposal for you. And finally, your father accepted the young man. And you know, Rumi, it was him and your brother Royce who planned all of this.”

Mother's explanation was so detailed that there were no more questions in my head about this. My family and I finally decided to accept Will as a member of the Harfi family.
