One Last Time

My entire life, I have worked for only one thing. Being independent. Being enough to protect myself. 

But today? I wasn't enough. I was weak. I was helpless. I was bound and no matter how much I tried. I couldn't protect myself or my people.

My vocal chords were damaged owing to the screams I couldn't suppress. My body was protesting and each and every bone in my body was breaking. My skin was burning with high temperature. And my eyes, they were dry. Tired of the non stop tears that have been leaking without permission.

I was going to die. I knew it.

But I was not scared of it. The thing that haunted me  more was what will happen after I die . What will happen when he will come to power?

My death will bring havoc into this world.
