Victor POV

Rick decided to call it a night and send everyone to their rooms and we’d pick up in the morning after breakfast. I carefully picked Tori up from the couch and cradled her to my chest as I carried her to my room. Once inside, I gently laid her on the bed and removed her shoes. Standing there staring at her, I took in her beautiful face, her long, dark hair that cascaded across the pillow, and her pouty lips that were slightly apart as she slept peacefully. I couldn’t help but admire her, not just the soft, sexy form lying in bed, but the strength and beauty within her.

So much has happened to her in the last week most people would curl up and cry themselves into oblivion. Tori went head-on to each and everything that came her way, including me. I fell fast and hard for her from the moment I met her; I knew there was nothing that would keep me away and I would do anything to have her. I loved her more than life itself, and that included all her abilities good and bad. The am

Victor POVI took a deep breath, summoning all the courage and tenderness I could muster. I knew the conversation with Tori was about expressing my love; as frustrating as it was, I couldn’t blame her since she has trust issues with people. I walked to where she was sitting on the bed, gently took her hand, and kneeled before her."Tori," he began softly, "I need you to understand how much I love you and only you.”She looked up, her eyes filled with anger and curiosity as she waited for me to continue."I want you to know that I have no desire to be with Whitney," I said earnestly, my eyes locking onto hers. "I love you, Tori. You are the one I want to be with, now and always." I took a deep breath and prayed to the Moon Goddess I didn’t screw this up. “I wanted to talk to Whitney to explain that I am not interested in anyone but you. My heart belongs to only you. I had no intention of sleeping with her. I had no idea that hooking up meant sex! Please, Tori, have I ever given you any

  • The Healer   Chapter 94

Victor POVI angrily stomped across the grounds and through the garden with an irate Tori slung over my shoulder, ignoring all the onlookers who gazed in confusion at the sight before them as she pounded her tiny fists against my back and kicked her legs with no effect. With a swift slap to her gorgeous behind, which was just inches from my face, I kicked open the front door and continued inside as it banged against the wall behind it. I headed for the stairs that would take me to my room, where we could talk in private; I stopped short when I heard the sound of a dying yak screeching behind me. “Hey, baby, what are you doing? You promised to take me to your room!” I stopped, felt Tori bounce on my backside, and grinned internally. She gave a quick kick, but I held tighter as I faced the demon next to me. “I did no such thing! Do not ever call me baby again! I am not yours!” I spun to the stairs and ran up, taking three at a time. My patience had grown

  • The Healer   Chapter 93

Tori POVI hear a distant beeping, and the smell of antiseptic fills my nose. My head is pounding, and my hands are tingling. What happened? I have never seen that before while healing anyone. I have never had lightning and thunder appear while healing, especially with Alphas. I will have to ask Mystic.“Mystic?” I search my mind for her and feel her slumbering in the deep recesses, but she ignores me. I remember we were snapping at each other, and, oh yeah, she called me stupid! I only wanted to know who the wolf was, and she shut me out. The wolf! She said he WAS her mate. Something happened, and he was obviously holding a grudge. What could she have done? If he was her mate, does that mean that Ronin is my...“Mystic! Where are you? You have some explaining to do!” This damn wolf better get her furry butt out here, or I will lock her in the garage again! I can sense her close, but she is not responding to my calls. There is a heavy feeling of shame and remorse covering me. My wolf

  • The Healer   Chapter 92

Ronin POVI was standing with Alpha Rick’s daughter in the front courtyard, having a pleasant conversation about her healing lineage, when out of nowhere, I saw a flash of dark fur and was tackled to the ground.I heard a scream and deep growling, and before I knew it, I was engaged in a one-on-one battle with Beta Victor’s wolf. Even without my wolf, I am an Alpha and will be victorious, but that doesn’t mean he can’t do measurable damage to me.We walked in a circle, sizing each other up. Behind me, I could feel the tension and fear flowing in waves from Tori. She was standing silently with wide eyes and wringing her hands at the sudden attack. He lunged at me again, and we rolled across the grass. His claws swiped across my chest, and my arms protected my throat as if it seemed to be his target. This wolf thinks I have wronged him for whatever reason and is out for my blood. I sense he is fighting in more of a panic mode than calculated strikes. Something has his wolf on edge, and h

Alpha Rick POV“So, Victor, talk,” I stated as I took a chair and sat across from Victor. He began explaining his conversation with Warrior Liam. Several times, he needed to calm his wolf, Apache, and soothe him with promises of protecting their pup. I held Tori’s hand tightly during our conversation, afraid if I let go, she would disappear. Victor spoke softly as if not to awaken Tori, but I could tell he wanted to touch her but refrained from doing so.“How the hell did we miss that? We had Tyler and Jeremy on him since Tori’s first attack. Did he meet with anyone? We must bring them in and report what they have found.”I leaned back in my chair and rubbed my hands down my face. Shaking my head with a heavy sigh, I glanced at Victor and hardened myself for the following conversation.“Victor…” He slowly opened his eyes to mine, and I saw regret, pain, and embarrassment.“Yes, Alpha,” He choked out softly. His hands were clenched together as he leaned forward on his knees.“You attac

Tori POVAs I followed the doctor down the hall to Alpha Ronin’s room, my mind was going rampant with thought after thought. Inside, I find him hooked to a heart monitor and several IVs attached to each arm. A nurse was holding pressure on a neck wound with bulky bandages, but the blood was seeping through alarmingly fast.“Tori, please, can you help him?” I stared at the damage Ivan had caused and cringed, realizing the level of power behind his anger—all because of me.“I will try. Alphas can be difficult and stubborn, " I said while keeping my eyes on Alpha Ronin, who was still unconscious.I stepped up to the bed and took a deep breath. I felt Mystic push forward and peer through my eyes.‘The Alpha will survive. It was not meant to kill him. Only a warning.’ I took hold of his beautiful, long-fingered, and strong hands that felt cold and clammy to the touch. My heart twinged in pain because of what this poor man had to go through because of me. He was in the wrong place at the wr
