Jordan slowed the engine and finally put his car to a stop right in front of his villa, three hours later and turned to his right where Maya is sitting quietly beside him. He stopped himself from pulling her into his arms to ease the fear on the ordeal that she had went through.

After the paramedics checked on her and treating the injuries she sustained, Jordan accompanied her to the police station where she formally gave her statement and had charges filed against the man who entered her villa, hurt her and nearly raped her.

During the time they were in the precinct, Jordan saw Maya answer a call and he assumed that it was probably Grayson. He watched from where he was sitting and saw her speaking quietly on the phone for a while before becoming frantic. She was walking back and forth, probably talking some sense into Grayson before the call finally ended.

“Looks like you’ve got company,” Jordan commented, breaking the silence inside the car.
