Lyriel wasn't sure when the teasing began...whether it was when he whispered in her ear, or when his fingers first brushed over the curve of her waist with maddening slowness.

Now, standing in front of him, breathing hard, she realized this wasn’t just desire. It felt more like punishment. But why? Why was he punishing her like this?

His mouth brushed her shoulder warmly as one hand slid beneath the hem of her top again. He didn’t rush. He didn’t have to. Every movement was calculated and deliberate. A featherlight touch here. A graze of knuckles there. Each one made her breath shivered through her chest.

She hated how her body responded to him. Hated how much she wanted him to stop teasing and just touch her properly.

"You’re trembling," he murmured, voice sinfully low. "Why? I thought you didn't want this..."
