Chapter 3

Four years later

The year 2044.

“Mommy!” When I saw Ashy approaching, I put down the document I was reading. I could tell she was about to sue her twin brother because she was crying.

“M-Mommy! Nash is fighting me! ” She burst into tears, so I got up and went over to her. Nash appeared with his frowning face.

“Mommy! I informed her that she should not have brought her toys! I’m sick of collecting her scattered toys.” Nash approached me, and he began crying, too. Watching my two twin children cry, I almost touched my forehead.

I carried them both and went straight to my private plane’s room. When my flight attendant noticed that I had difficulty lifting my kids, she attempted to take Nash, but this only made him cry more. We both sighed as we looked at each other.

“Cayer!” I called my secretary.

Cayer emerged from the door in front of me, dressed formally. A secretary’s typical attire. He was also wearing spectacles.

“Uncle Cayi!” Ashy extended her hand to my secretary. And when Cayer picked up my child, I breathed a sigh of relief. I turned to Nash and wiped his tears away.

“Stop crying, Nash. This is the last time you will collect Ashy’s toy, okay? ”

Nash, still in tears, replied, “Y-Yes, Mommy.”

I spoke when the pilot announced we were about to land on the terrain. We all took our seats, and I ensured Ashy and Nash’s seat belts were buckled correctly. I connected mine, and the private plane landed a few minutes later.

“Mommy.” Ashy was afraid when she looked at me, so I smiled softly at her. I took her small hand in mine.

“Mommy’s here.”

She also smiled and held my hand as well.

“Mommy, you said there would be a lot of kids in our new house. Where have they gone?” Nash raised his head to look at me. “I don’t have any friends in Europe, so I’d like to make some here in the Philippines.”

I fixed his slightly messy hair. “Indeed, Nash. You’ll make a lot of new friends here.”

“But, Mommy, is it true? Do we have to act like orphans as well? So we will not be in danger?”

I sighed and didn’t answer for quite a while. “Yes, Ashy.”

“It’s all right, Mommy.” Ashy was supposed to hug me, but she was strapped in. “Everyone says mommy is the best!”

My daughter pouted. She’s so cute. “Aren’t I correct, Mommy?”

“Yes, Dear.” I cracked a smile. I didn’t have a choice. To keep them safe, I had to hide them. I couldn’t bear the thought of anything wrong happening to them.

“Will we see Dad, Mommy?” Nash was intrigued. “I can’t wait.”

I just looked at him and smiled sparingly.

The events that occurred. Everything seemed like it only happened yesterday.

When the plane finally touched down, I unbuckled Nash and Ashy’s seat belts. They peered out the window, and my daughter was shocked to see a lavish party.

“But, Mommy, where are the kids?” Nash inquired.

“You’ll see them later.” I turned to Cayer, and he nodded at me. We stood near the door. When the flight attendant opened the door, we were greeted by the whispers of the people.

“Ashy, Nash. Do you recall what I told you before we came here?”

“Of course, Mommy.” Ashy proudly smiled. “You said the people here are dangerous.”

“They are, indeed.”

“And we must exercise caution.” Nash came up next.

“Keep those words in mind, Ashy, Nash.”

My kids just nodded, so I held them in their hands. Ashy was on my right side, while Nash was on my left. We made our way to the front door. I heard people gasp when they finally saw us.  I climbed down the stairs with Cayer and the kids, smiling darkly.

“For real? The great Shianna Scarlet Viacera is back? ”

“OMG! She has truly returned!”

“I cannot believe it!”

“What brought her back?”

“This is insane!”

When we finally got down, we were surrounded by reporters. Cayer, who was standing behind me, immediately nodded. He said something into his earpiece. It didn’t take long for the children I’d found in different places to emerge. Some are from other races, but the vast majority are Filipino. Ashy froze and turned to face me. I smiled, and she yanked Nash away to join the other kids.

Starting now, I had to pretend I didn’t have children because I had many enemies who wanted to take me down. But I knew I couldn’t keep them hidden for long. So, while it was still early, I brought the kids here to show them how dangerous our world was.

“Shianna!” When Mom approached me, the press splintered. She was here with my half-brother and stepfather.

“What brings you back after being missing for years?” Mom was about to slap me when I stared at her coldly. That was only cut short when my other relatives arrived.  I noticed other visitors approaching as well. I saw the man not bothering to look in my direction, and when I recognized him, I secretly smiled.

Vincent.

“Guess what?” I returned my attention to my relatives and visitors. “I’m back.”

Yes, I came back after four years. And I had changed as well. And I would make sure you all would pay.

All of you who had hurt me and made my father suffer.

And even if you are in hell. I would make sure you all would beg me to forgive you with your bended knees.
