Sabrina’s POV

After I left Simon, I still had two more classes to attend before finally calling it a day. By the time the last lecture ended, I was completely drained. My classmates were sliding into their luxurious cars, the sound of engines revving and tyres crunching against the pavement. Meanwhile, I trudged toward the gate, clutching my phone, hoping the Uber app would save me.

Except it didn’t.

Every ride I booked was cancelled within seconds. Road construction near my place had caused a brutal traffic jam, and none of the drivers wanted to get stuck there.

Frustration prickled under my skin. “Oh my God, how do I get home now? I’m stuck under this sun!” I muttered, shielding my eyes with one hand. Sweat dampened my blouse, and my face carried every bit of the worry I felt.

I tried again and again to request a ride, but it was pointless. The only option was to walk an hour to the junction to find a taxi. My body screamed at me not to, but I didn’t have a choice. So I started, on

Sabrina’s POVAfter LAW220, we dived straight into Econ 102 and then the rest of my classes before I was finally done for the day. But my day would never be complete without my iced latte. I dashed straight to the café and ordered my drink. Actually, I ordered two. A backup was necessary in case the café ran out when I needed another refill.Just as I was waiting for my order, Jace appeared to place his. Apparently, his assistant wasn’t in sight.“Can I get an iced latte, please?” he asked casually, eyes glued to his phone.“Sorry, sir. We’re out. That was the last order,” the barista said as he handed me my two cups. I grabbed them with both hands, muttering a soft “thank you.”“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Jace snapped, his head shooting up. “She just ordered two cups, and now you’re out?” His face twisted in annoyance, and the disgust there was so obvious it sent a wave of satisfaction rushing through me.“I’m sorry, sir,” the barista said politely. “If you had come just a few min

Sabrina’s POVI saw the rage in Jace’s eyes, burning hot and impossible to hide, even with Alice clinging to his arm. Well, I wasn’t the only one obsessed after all. He was falling head over heels for the real me, and right now I didn’t even need to pretend much as Spicy.Scott managed to calm things down before Jace and Simon could actually throw punches. Still, when Jace finally broke free, his sharp glare cut right through me before he stormed off. He held Alice close, his grip almost possessive, but even she knew the truth. Her smile was bittersweet. She was thrilled to be paraded around but equally aware that Jace wasn’t showing her off for her sake. He was trying to get back at me, and she knew it.Simon watched them leave, his backpack slung tight against his shoulder, and when the hallway cleared, I turned to him.“You didn’t have to do that,” I snapped, my eyes scanning his face, then drifting over his broad frame before I could stop myself. Damn, the guy was fine. But that w

  • The Hockey Star's Spicy Stripper   CHAPTER 69: Collision Course

Jace’s POVI shoved my hands through my hair and decided I couldn’t survive another minute without something to drink.Padding down the stairs, I expected silence, the kind of heavy stillness that sits in a house too early in the morning. But the first thing I noticed was the faint, rich smell of coffee and the sound of slow footsteps.Scott was at the dining table, pacing back and forth with a steaming mug in one hand and his phone glued to the other. His brows were knit in concentration, eyes flickering across the screen like he was lost in another world. It was six-thirty in the morning. What the hell had him so focused at this hour? Before I could even question him, frustration boiled up again, and the memories of what had happened came clawing back to the surface.“Are you kidding me right now?” My voice came out rougher than I intended. “You’ve been in this house the whole time, and you didn’t stop that vampire from sneaking into my room?”Scott froze mid-step, his head jerking

  • The Hockey Star's Spicy Stripper   CHAPTER 68: In Bed with the Wrong One

Jace’s POVThe week had already been brutal, and last night only made it worse. I dragged myself home from the boys' hangout. I was drunk enough to barely keep my eyes open. Scott had practically carried me into the room.He stood by my bed as I collapsed, his arms folded like a disappointed parent. “You can’t even stand straight. Let me stay the night, at least till morning. I’ll help you get ready for class.”“Leave me the hell alone,” I muttered, my words slurred. “I’m not a kid, Scott. I’m a big boy.”The protest ended with a loud snore. He rolled his eyes, muttered something I couldn’t catch, then sighed. “Fine.” The door shut behind him with a soft thud.Darkness pressed in. The room tilted, shifting like it was on a spinning carousel, the ceiling melting into the walls. I squeezed my eyes shut, but it didn’t help. The alcohol had my head heavy, my body sluggish, and every nerve buzzing. And then, I felt it.A hand. Warm. Soft. Sliding over me from behind. My foggy brain fired t

Sabrina’s POV“What do you mean you walked off?” Bree asked, her voice edged with disbelief.“Bree, I know I shouldn’t have done that, but I freaked out, okay? I didn’t know what to do or say. I was just staring at him blankly, and the moment was awkward.” I ran a hand through my hair, frustration and embarrassment bubbling up again.Bree crossed her arms, eyes narrowing. “Sabrina… come on. You can’t just walk off every time you feel a little… overwhelmed. What was that about?”I sighed, collapsing back onto my bed. “It’s not just a little overwhelmed. It’s… I wasn’t ready for the question he asked me; it took me off guard. It came right after that long kiss. I mean, I won’t lie, the kiss was amazing… so good. And when he… folded me closer…” I stopped abruptly, realising I was going into too much detail.“You bad girl!!!” Bree teased, a mischievous grin spreading across her face. “So… you didn’t like Simon at all?”I froze, realising how awkward it sounded when I tried to explain. “I

  • The Hockey Star's Spicy Stripper   CHAPTER 66: Shisha, Jokes, and Trouble

Jace’s POVWe were at Xavier’s house, the usual weekly hangout spot for the guys I trusted most on the team. Every week, we rotated whose place we’d use, and this time it was Xavier’s. Scott had come along, of course, mostly to keep me from spiralling into whatever mood I was in, though he usually ended up as the butt of our jokes anyway.“Damn! Your dad is the real OG, man,” Xavier teased, adding extra coal to the shisha pot. “I wish my old man were like that.”“Are you kidding me right now? You think this is all fun until you get stuck in his orbit,” I muttered, flicking ash into the tray.“Well, the fun thing here is that you get to bang three hot women. I mean, look at this!” Leo leaned over my shoulder and squinted at my phone, his eyes glued to Wendy’s picture. “She is smoking hot!”“Hot, but trouble! She caused the whole mess I had with Nico back then,” I reminded them, trying to keep my voice level, though my jaw clenched.“From the story you told us, you banged his babe? Bad
