Chapter 151: It was just a dream

"Erix," I breathe, stepping through the front door. He clenched his jaw and looked at me.

"Rain?" His voice was shaky.

"Erix, I'm home," I smiled and ran to him. He pulled me into a tight hug. Tears form in my eyes. I'm relieved to finally go home.

"I thought you were dead," Eris whispered in my hair. I fell silent for a while. "Rain, you have to leave," he croaked.

I pulled away from him and furrowed my eyebrows.

"What? Why?"

"There's someone else, Rain. You were gone so long that I couldn't help but fall in love with someone else," he said.

A look of regret crossed his face. My lips parted, and I started to say something.

"What about Clay? Amira? Where are they?"

"They're fine. They have a new mom now. You left them, and it's all your fault," Erix growled.

It's all my fault.

"B-but I can explain why I was gone," I begged him to just listen to me, but Erix didn't show any sympathy.
