Chapter 11
The shock of hearing directly from the man about whom she had been thinking for a considerable time and with a lot of her focus and energy had rendered her absolutely silent. It made Rhonda absolutely speechless for a brief moment of time. This was the man who had been the sole attention of her entire emotional conflict for all these months was now calling her up of his own volition and she had absolutely no clue what she was supposed to say. How did this even work?
“Hello? Rhonda? Are you there?” asked Oberon from the other side. Impatience ringing in his voice just like always. Waiting or patience was not one of his virtues.
“Yeah I am here. What is wrong Oberon?” asked Rhonda in reply because she could not think of anything else to really say. She did not even want to have this conversation with him at the moment, not any conversation but then she could not just hang up on him like that.
“There is nothing wrong at all,” Oberon reassured her in a hasty manner.
