The smell of alcohol and tobacco was thick in Mireya’s office, blending into one heavy scent. The beautiful woman stood there, gulping wine straight from the bottle. She had lost count of how many bottles she’d already finished. Her surging emotions left her completely out of control. She could still feel the sting of Draco’s slap.

It was the first time Draco had ever struck her, all to defend Luna. Mireya couldn’t accept it. Her own fiancé had chosen to defend a lowly prostitute over her. It was a blow that utterly shattered the pride of Mireya Light.

A knock on the door broke the silence, making Mireya curse under her breath. In this state, the last thing she wanted was to be disturbed. Yet someone dared to interrupt her now.

“Come in!” Mireya snapped.

Her secretary entered the room. “Miss, I’m sorry to bother you—”

“You are bothering me, you idiot!” Mireya yelled, her voice sharp with anger.

The secretary bowed her head, trembling. “S-sorry, Miss. I just wanted to let you know ther

Flashback On#Draco’s eyes glared fiercely at Mireya, who lay unconscious on the bed. His anger was unmistakable. It was now the second day since Mireya had lost consciousness after taking abortion pills. The thought of Mireya killing the baby in her womb made Draco’s rage burn even hotter.Nigel, who was there, quickly excused himself, not daring to speak. He knew his boss hated being disturbed when he was furious. The doctor who had come to check on Mireya also left after explaining that the fetus in Mireya’s womb was no longer alive.Slowly, Mireya’s eyes began to open. The first thing she saw was the glare of the lamp above her. The sharp scent of medicine filled her nose. The beautiful woman looked up to see Draco—her fiancé—standing not far from her.“D-Draco?” Mireya called out weakly.Draco stepped closer, his gaze sharp and cold. “I thought you’d die after taking those abortion pills.”Mireya’s face changed at Draco’s words. Memories of what had happened came flooding back. S

“Mom, I’m home.” Draco stepped into his house, calling out for his mother. But as he searched for her, he couldn’t find her anywhere. Not in her room, not in the living room, not even in the backyard.“Mom? Where are you?” Draco walked through his modest home, and suddenly stopped in the kitchen when he saw blood on the floor. The handsome young man’s face turned pale and tense. His heart pounded faster than usual, gripped by fear.“Mom!” Draco was shocked to see his mother lying on the floor, her wrists covered in blood. A knife lay nearby, making it clear she had hurt herself.Draco broke down in tears, kneeling as he hugged his mother. “Mom! Open your eyes! Don’t leave me, Mom!”He could feel her body growing cold. He screamed for her to wake up, but it was no use. She didn’t open her eyes. Draco’s gaze shifted to a letter lying beside her. He picked it up and read.Dear Draco, my beloved son.I’m sorry, Mommy has to leave you. I’m sorry I wasn’t the perfect mother for you. I can’t

Silence stretched across the room. Luna sat on the bed as Draco pressed a warm towel to her cheek. The beautiful girl didn’t say a word, her eyes fixed on Draco’s deep, warm gaze. Her look held a thousand unspoken questions.“You’re just sitting there. You’re not even complaining. Didn’t Mireya’s slap hurt?” Draco applied ointment to Luna’s face.“It hurt. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t. I’m not Wonder Woman—I don’t have superpowers. But as a woman, I understand that slap was an outburst from someone whose partner was caught cheating.” Luna’s voice was calm and quiet.Luna didn’t blame Mireya at all for coming to her and venting her anger. In Luna’s eyes, Mireya’s actions were justified. Mireya was only angry because Draco had betrayed her. If Draco hadn’t hurt Mireya, she never would have lashed out at Luna.No woman in the world would ever willingly accept being cheated on. If Luna were in Mireya’s position, she doubted she’d even have the strength to get angry—she’d probably just

Draco stared coldly at his assistant standing before him. His expression was icy and firm, hiding a storm of emotions beneath the surface. His breath came in harsh bursts, jaw tight, rage practically radiating off him.“What does that old bastard want with me?!” Draco snapped, unable to contain his fury.Nigel had expected this. He had just reported that the person his boss hated most was coming to see him—and, as expected, Draco was immediately consumed by rage.“Mr. Danny Fergie only said he wanted to meet you. He gave no reason. Would you like to refuse? If you want, I’ll turn down his request,” Nigel offered.Draco fell silent, his eyes sharp as he heard the name. ‘Danny Fergie’—a name Draco never wanted to hear. A name that fueled a burning hatred within him. Hatred, vengeance, and anger all fused together. He remembered the painful events he could never forget.“Let the old man meet me. I want to know what he wants,” Draco replied, his tone barely containing his emotions. Nigel

Luna never expected Draco would take her to his late mother’s grave. Her heart was deeply moved, a flood of questions racing through her mind. She needed clear answers, but her tongue felt too heavy to form the words. What she could see in Draco’s eyes was just how much he loved his mother.A man who loves his mother surely knows how to respect a woman. So why was Draco able to give her false hope? Why could he make her second best, make her hope for more, when it was clear he belonged to someone else? After returning from the cemetery, Luna approached Draco, who was alone in the bedroom, gazing at a photo of his late mother. Luna had never seen this side of him before.“Your mother was so beautiful, Draco,” Luna praised. “You look so much like her.”Draco nodded in agreement. “Yes, you’re right. I do look like my late mother.” The deep brown of his eyes revealed a profound longing.“Desha Riordan... Even her name is beautiful.” Luna murmured softly.Draco offered only a faint smile a
