SETH

Emily was just plain sweet. There was no other word to describe her. She had her feet firmly planted on the ground, which is to say, I hadn’t gotten any kind of ‘rich-snobbish’ vibe from her.

She came from a rich lifestyle, I needed to deal with it.

I wonder why people would be mean to someone so nice and sweet.

What had she ever done to them?

“I brought you a fresh bedsheet set. It’s brand new, and no one has used it yet. I can help you put it on.”

“Okay.”

I could have easily made the bed myself but I was kind of reluctant to ask her to leave. I wanted Emily to stay here and keep talking.

“All done.” She said a while later. “I can help you arrange your clothes in the wardrobe as well.”

“There’s no need.” I blurted out.

Her face fell, ”Oh. Okay.”

“I...I mean...there’s no need if you’re occupied with something else. I can manage.”

She rolled her eyes, “I have nowhere to be, and nothing to do. Don’t be so formal, Seth.”

It was the first time she used my name. My heart drummed faster in my chest.

I watched as she took my clothes out of my bag and started hanging them in the huge wooden wardrobe. My mom’s stuff was already inside but there was still a lot of space. She picked a t-shirt that was so old and faded, there was a small hole at the hem of it.

Would she judge me for it?

She looked at it once before folding it in a neat square and putting it inside. Her expressions did not betray her thoughts.

“Seth, I have some ground rules.”

I sat down on the bean bag by the bed, “lay it on me.”

“I know dad told you that this studio is yours, and it is yours to do as you please, but I would appreciate it that you didn’t host any parties in the lawn area. I’m not a party animal, so I wouldn’t want strange people here and I don’t like the noise.”

“It’s cool. You don’t have to worry about that. This is my workplace and I moved here recently, remember? I don’t have any friends.”

“Me neither. I guess we have something in common then.” She laughed in that adorable way of hers.

“Also, no drugs or anything shady like that.” She clarified.

“What about girls? Can they come over?” I asked, just to tease her. I liked seeing her face get all serious.

She went silent all of a sudden, the smile had vanished, her lips pressed in a straight line, the air between us had gotten thicker.

“Um...yeah, sure.” She said. I think she forced herself to say it. “If they are your friends, they are allowed here. What happens behind closed doors after work hours is none of my concern.” She added without looking at me, her tone was stern.

“What about a girl I like?” I teased her further.

“You like someone? Is she from our school?” She asked automatically.

“Yeah. There’s a girl I like a lot.” I admitted, “she’s from school, but she doesn’t know I like her.”

“Why don’t you tell her?” She asked sincerely.

“I will eventually. I like taking my time.”

I didn’t have the balls to ask her the same question. I know she had to like a guy, he might not be from my team. I imagined him to be one of the guys who took science classes or someone she met at the country club. I didn’t think I had the stomach to find out, and it didn’t really matter.

She was going to be mine. Very soon.

“This girl I like. If she says yes, I might bring her here.”

Her face turned red, “okay.” She closed the door of the wardrobe. “Hey listen, I have some homework to do so I’ll see you at dinner.”

I nodded. “What would you like me to make?”

“Anything simple.” She said, barely looking at me and moving towards the door.

Before I could give her options for the food, she stormed out and closed the door with a bang.

EMILY

I buried my face in my fluffy pillow and cried hard. Fat tears rolled down my eyes.

I brought the Hello Kitty plush toy to my chest and squeezed the life out of it.

I never thought he’d like someone so soon. Who could this girl be?

I was crushed.

Crushed wasn’t even the right word to describe this feeling. My soul had left my body. Okay, maybe that last part was a bit dramatic.

Chanel, my tabby cat hopped into the bed and brushed against my body.

I started to recall all the times I’d seen him with a girl.

Who could he possibly like?

Was it Josephine Ross, from the cheerleading team? The girl had a perfect hour-glass figure and golden hair with highlights. She looked like a model. They would look good together, to be honest, I’d seen them talking after his games. She was usually all over him, like the rest of the girls in the school.

Or was it Skylar?

It had to be Sky! She sat with him during lunch ALL THE TIME, and I saw him smiling at her a shit ton of time.

What did you think, Emily? Did you imagine he would start liking you? Do you have a mirror? Look at him, and look at you.

I couldn’t tolerate seeing Seth getting close to some other girl, but he liked someone else, and there wasn’t anything I could do about it.

I had to be stronger and pull my strong girl pants.

What if the girl he liked didn’t like him back? Maybe Sky even had a boyfriend.

I might even have a chance. I could try to make him like me instead. If nothing, I could at least have a friend.

Seth romantically liking me would be like a genie granting me a wish, and the chances of that happening were slim going on none.

SETH

I made a simple macaroni and cheese for dinner. It was nice working in this huge kitchen all by myself. It was all stainless steel and high-tech with granite countertops. There was the peace and the quiet in this house that I liked, just the sounds of the dicing vegetables, the occasional sound of the water in the sink.

Emily appeared in the kitchen area.

My attention directly went to her nightgown. It wasn’t revealing or anything, but it was a silk camisole with a jacket that had frills and lacework around the edges.

It was downright sexy.

The nightgown highlighted the curves in her body, and fuck me if her body wasn’t curvy.

Her hips were flared, the type I would have loved to grab hold of and fuck, her breasts were huge, and I think the size made her conscious, and it was the reason she hid behind baggy sweaters in school but now I could see every inch of her clearly.

The top swell of her breasts was in perfect view of my eyes.

Fuck!

I sat down on the island counter and had to fix myself in my sweatpants. I had already grown hard, and I don’t know how I was going to survive this dinner.

Did she think it was decent to wear that in front of a guy she barely knew?

Did she do it often?

As if I hadn’t had enough, she leaned onto the counter to dig her spoon in the macaroni and stuffed it into her mouth, and moaned, ”hmmm…you’re amazing.”

She couldn’t be giving me a tease show, would she?

I thought Emily was dense.

Sweet and naive.

I didn’t think she was the type who might like to flirt back a little.

Well, not that I was complaining but if she continued doing that, I was more likely to corner her and cop a feel. With her consent, of course.

I had a mental image of Emily bending against this island, with her wide hips in my grasp as I fucked her relentlessly. And fuck her I would, it was just a matter of when?

I couldn’t stand it any longer, I scooped some macaroni and loaded it onto my plate, pulled out a coke, and started making my way out of the kitchen.

“Where are you going?” She asked me.

“I cooked for you, my job is done so I was heading back to my room.”

Her expressions looked crestfallen. Her chest did a quick rise and fall.

Stop being a perv, Seth! Leave her alone!

“Do you have anything important to do in your room?”

“Just planned to eat dinner and sleep.”

“I was thinking maybe we could sit together and watch a movie until you finish eating dinner. I’ll get bored alone anyway.”

It was a far too tempting an opportunity to pass up.

“Okay.”

EMILY Seth's emerald eyes turned a shade darker, glittering in the dim light, his nostrils flared. I watched as his gaze swept slowly from bottom to top, lingering over my chest a little longer."Shut the door." He commanded in a gravel thick voice. I closed the door behind me and stepped inside the room. "Come here." His hand was raised towards me. I walked to him, feeling my heart beating against my chest, desire flickering to life. He put his hands around my waist, standing between his thighs while he was sprawled in the revolving chair. He had to look up at me due to the height difference now. I placed my hands over his shoulders, feeling the heat of his body through my palms. "Emily, this is wrong. You understand that, right?" His voice had a deep baritone, he swallowed, "I'm your housekeeper, and you're..." "I know.""Your family employs my mother." I igno

SETHI guess I could tell Emily the truth, but leave out the important details. She wanted to know about my past, and I knew that she only meant to do that because she was genuinely curious to get to know me, but there was no way I was going to talk about the shit-storm that I left behind in Connecticut. That was a can of worms that I would never open.Moving to Bountyville to live with my mother was meant as a fresh start, and talking about that now just beat the purpose of what I’d initially started out to do.“You told me your dad lives in Connecticut. What does he do there?”“He owns a farm and a small departmental store. I used to help him with both.” I shrugged. “Like I said, nothing special.” I couldn’t meet her eyes, not with the stuff that I was hiding. When I dared a glance towards her, she had a smile on her face as she sipped on her coke. “Did your father remar

EMILY I made a huge mistake. Not only had I been rude to Seth but I'd also called him a man-whore which was completely unacceptable. Seth wasn't mine. I mean at least not now. He hadn't given me any indication that I was his girlfriend so I had no right to say things to him that I had. Things from last night were irreversible. He'd looked hurt, and it killed me when I went to bed. The next day during lunchtime, I'd spotted him with his teammates. His dark brown hair was tousled, a few unruly locks swept on his forehead that were soft and smelled like cedar and woodsy with a twinge of refreshing peppermint. I knew that because I'd spent the night, running my fingers through his hair and smelling it. The next day, I'd sneaked into his bathroom to check the shampoo label and bought the exact bottle just so I could keep it and sniff it occasionally. Seth was just really really good-looking with his strong jawline, kissable lips, a goofy g

SETH I was a little taken aback by having Emily’s arms around me. I turned around so we were facing each other. My gaze swept to her collarbone where I’d left a mark on her last night, unknowingly. She gave me a flirty look as she circled her arms around my neck, her dark eyes peered at me seductively. She went up on her lip-toes and pulled my face down to hers, and that was all it took for me to lose control. It proved one thing, that she hadn’t kissed me last night just because we were drunk, it was more than that.Emily might not have the slightest idea about my feelings for her, but at least she was as attracted to me as I was towards her. That was enough for now. Her lips moved insistently over mine, and she smelled just as I remembered.Spring rain, vanilla, and roses.I kissed her harder, sucking her tongue greedily forcing a loud moan from her mouth.
