Chapter 10

Rozelynn POV

I dreaded going home. I knew it was going to be a fight, and I didn’t want to fight about it. I didn’t ask for Nick to show up here, but he did, now I had to deal with it. It really wasn’t that complicated, but Remi was going to complicate it, because that’s what he did. That was one of the main differences between him and Nick. Remi always wanted to know the why’s, how’s, and logistics of everything, especially my thoughts and feelings, whereas all Nick would have only needed to hear that I was his wife, and nothing changed that. I suppose that was because Nick had a confidence about him that Remi didn’t.

Remi was confident, sure, but not like Nick. I only had myself to blame for that though. He had been in love with me for years, and I had just used it to my own advantage instead of pursuing something serious with him.
