I still could not believe that Demian was right in front of me, not in a dream, but in person. I had pinched myself a few times to be certain that it was not a dream.

“Did Luke hurt you?” I asked.

“Does it look like I’m hurt?”

“Demian, please… You are wearing a huge cloak. I cannot see anything.”

“Do you want to see me without my cloak, my clothes?”

I blushed.

“As much as I would love to take off my clothes, I would rather not have you in this condition. You look frail and you are in pain,” he said. “And no, Sully. Luke didn’t hurt me. More accurately, he couldn’t hurt me.”

“But how did you know what Luke was about to do?” he asked.

I had already told him about the plan, so Demian knew that Luke had been on the plan with Rose.
