“Alright.” Nate sighed as he released his grip around my waist. “But keep your mind link open so I can have regular updates.” He raised his brows as he narrowed his eyes at me.

I couldn’t help but roll my eyes at him, as I shook my head ever-so-slightly. “Like I would ever shut you out, wolfie.” I rummaged my fingers through his raven locks, before rising to my feet and offering him a final smile as I left the room and headed toward the academy dorms.

“What do you think she looks like?” Leia blurted out suddenly as I dragged my feet against the gravel pathway.

“Who?” I asked, knowing she couldn’t be asking about Betty. We’d unfortunately had the luxury of seeing her morbid face every day for the last few months. I couldn’t help but wonder what Nate had planned for her, she may have betrayed us but at the end of it all, she was still his family. Much to his dismay, whether he chooses to acknowledge that or not.

“Who else? The wicked witch of the west.” Leia grumbled.
