Chapter 59.

We walked after the two vampires and passed by the big main house, and two not much smaller houses where I was guessing other families lived.

We kept walking until we came up to a two-story house with a wrap-around porch. If I didn't know what actually went on in there, I'd say this was an ideal house with the porch, the big windows and the wicker look.

The bigger vampire walked up to the porch and knocked on the door.

I could hear music and conversation, the lights were on and people were laughing.

The door opened up and a lean man stood inside. The second he saw us, he was in front of me.

”Werewolves,” he snarled with a distasteful expression on his face.

”You know, you guys are really good at stating the obvious,” Lydia said and cleared her throat.

I slowly turned my head and saw Lydia staring at everyone with a bored expression on her face. Her hand had stopped shaking and her confidence had reappeared. I couldn't decide whether that was a good thing or a bad one.
