Chapter 7: Surprise!

last update Last Updated: 2021-06-16 17:29:02

"Lorien, sweetie!" I groaned as I heard my mother's voice from the other side of the door. "Get up now, it's eight in the morning!" I grabbed another pillow from my bed and put it over my head, but I could still hear my mother shouting my name over and over.

"Lorien! Adasha!"

I rolled my eyes, throwing my pillow to the white tiled floor with another groan.

"Lo-"

"I'm awake!" I yelled, messing up my hair and slapped my face with both of my hands. Then I pass them through my hair, soon scratching the back of my head before going downstairs.

"You're finally up, thank goodness." Mom mumbles as I sat on my chair and started eating my cereal then rubbed my both eyes and yawned.

"Gee... you never change, do you? Waking you up is really a hard task!" She added as she sits down on the chair across me while I stayed quiet. Mom gathers all of her hair before grabbing a pen from her side to put into her hair. She glared at me as she caught me scratching my sides, then groaned with her head upwards.

"Stop doing that!" She yells, "That's so unlady-like!"

"Oh shut up," I grunted. "It's just the two of us in here mom, there is no one aside from the both of us can see me."

Mother sighs, "I can see you're not yet fully awake."

I yawned. "Yeah..." I just said making her chuckle, then soon my eyes widened as I had sniffed in the scent of coffee. Rotating my head to the side, I saw my mother walking over to the table with two coffees in her hands, I bite up my lower lip. "Is-is that really coffee?"

Mom smirked, "Uh-huh."

Quickly as possible, I stood up from my chair and grabbed my drink from her grasp as she giggles. Mother really knows best, I mean look, she bought me coffee! I sniffed in its scent one more time as I released a happy sigh, leaning forward to my mother's face and placed a loving kiss on her cheek. "Thanks mom! You're really the best!" I told her and side-hugged her.

"Oh, I know dear," mom playfully pushes me away before sitting back down, "Now you're fully awake, continue eating your breakfast."

"Aye aye captain!" I exclaimed, mom laughed and took the seat across me again as we started to eat our breakfast together.

Right now, I'm back in my bedroom. It is currently 10:36 AM, as I am laying on my soft bed and having my laptop on my side while it's blasting some music, I was scrolling through my phone up and down. Oh the usual, switching three to five applications all at once. This is my life, but sometimes it gets boring and like, tiresome. You know what I mean? Anyway, a phonecall had interrupted me and my thoughts as I nearly throw my phone in shock.

Unregistered number..?

Who could this be? I'm that kind of person that really does not pick up any calls, especially if it was an unregistered number. I mean who knows, it could be a scammer, or a prank call, or a hacker that once you've taken their call, they will have an access through your phone or something like that. Yeah, I think like that. Staring back down to my phone I raised an eyebrow, I was hesitant but I picked it up anyways.

"Hello?"

"Lorien, this is Harry," I had let out a sigh of relief as soon as I recognized the voice of the caller and he told me his name. "Uh.. are you busy? Do you want to hang out?" My eyes widened in surprise as I sat up on my bed.

"Seriously?!"

"Uh-huh, seriously. It is Saturday today, isn't it? And you've promised," He said and I can imagine him smirking while raising his eyebrows up and down. I rolled my eyes with a little laugh.

"Okay, I'll just take a bath and text you guys when-"

Harry cuts me off, "There is no need. We're already here."

"What?!" I got off from my bed as he said that, combing my hair with my fingers and looking at the mirror.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" I grunted before hanging up on him and running into my bathroom.

I grabbed my gray long sleeves, put on my black jeggings and some rubber shoes. I let my hair flow down my shoulders and ran downstairs only to see those five intruders sitting comfortably on our sofa, Harry has even got the nerve to lie down. Unbelievable.

"Oh, hi Lorien!" Rin greeted me with a smile and waved, standing up from the couch as he attacks me with a hug, my arms instantly wrapped around his waist. Then Romeo, too, stands up from his seat and did the same thing while these three monkeys here were just having their own little world as they were smiling to one another. Wow, hello to you too.

"Oh Lorien, you're here," I turned around as my mother's voice echoed around the room, she just got out of the kitchen carrying a silver tray. As the gentleman Milo was, he quickly stands up then takes the tray from my mother's hands and puts it on the small table here at the living room.

"Uh, aunt Francheska, can we borrow her just for today?" Harry asks my mom nervously, looking down to his shoes then rocking his feet back and forth as he had his hands to his back, we all bursted out in laughter except for my mom of course. Harry puts his hands up in the air as he raised his shoulders, wide eyed as if asking us what he did wrong.

"You-you sounded like you're asking for my mom's permission to take me out on a date, Harry!" I yelled, laughing.

"You looked really nervous, man!" Rin adds in, bending over with a hand on his stomach.

"You were playing with your fingers too!" Tybalt runs a hand through his hair as it gets all over his face from laughing so much.

"Like a little kid who made a huge mistake and knew your mother's going to get real mad!" Romeo picks up his beanie from the floor.

"Bro, I have to admit, you sounded so corny right there. I could see how you will be asking your future girlfriend's parents to let you marry." Milo added making us laugh again while Harry stuffed his hands into his pocket and rolled his eyes on us.

"Okay okay," I sighed and tried to stop from laughing. "He's getting angry. Let's stop," I told them and wiped a tear from my left eye. Oh God, it has been so long since I laughed like that. Harry looked so cute, and funny.

Then my mother smiles to Harry, resting a hand on his shoulder then said, "As long as she's with you, I know I've got nothing to worry about. I've never seen her smile like that ever since we moved here." She added, making these five monkeys turn their heads around to look at me, and to show off a smile.

"Wh-what? It's not true!" I denied. Then I suddenly felt Milo poking my sides, "Stop it!"

"She loved having us around," Milo whispers as he was alternatively raising his eyebrows. That's his hidden talent.

I heard my mother giggling, "Just make sure she'll be home before it gets dark, am I making myself clear gentlemen?"

"Yes, ma'am!" They all said in chorus as they all gave my mom a salute like she's the boss.

Mom lets out another giggle before giving the boys a nod, "You can all go. Be careful okay?" The monkeys marched over to me, as Harry and Milo grabbed me by my arms to pull me up, we all nodded as I kissed my mom on the cheek and on her forehead.

"Thank you mom, I love you." I whispered to her and she kissed me on my cheek, "I love you too, sweetie. Be careful, take care of yourself alright?"

"I will. You too, you can go shopping," I winked.

"Oh I will even without you telling me!" She exclaims as I laughed and the boys had shut the door of my house closed.

Rin held the passenger's side door for me, I smirked before getting in while he made himself comfortable at the backseat, and when I said comfortable, it means laying down and leaving no space for anyone to sit on. Shaking my head to either side, I buckled myself up with the seatbelt and waved goodbye to my loving mother. As I turn to Tybalt and smiled, then he started the car's engine, as it groans to life and drove off.

***

I had my chin on the palm of my hand, looking outside from the window as I begun reading each road signs I see. I sighed, this silence is eating me out alive. Biting my upper lip then licking, I cleared my throat and asked Tybalt this.

"Can I turn the music player on?"

Tybalt looks over to me and then back to the road, "I guess so." I smiled and turned my head around to ask Rin if it is all right but he was asleep. I frowned, forming my lips into a straight line then let out a sigh, drawing a laugh from the guy that is sitting beside me.

"I'm afraid you might wake him up, Miss Daniel."

"Great going, Hudson." I scoffed, crossing my arms over my chest as I turn back to the front and started reading road signs once again.

"Why do you boys always laugh to everything that I say?" I asked, leaning against the door on my side as a smirk lines up on my lips.

"Because of your sassy attitude, obviously."

"Sassy? That isn't even sassy. And what's so funny about it?"

"I don't know the answer either," Tybalt shrugs as he looks at me, "Try to ask the others about that too."

"Forget it," I threw one hand up in the air. "It doesn't matter anyways. What really matter right now is, where we are going."

Tybalt chuckles. "Harry's actually the one who planned this and none of us knew where we're heading, honestly. I just don't know if Milo knows as well."

"Is he planning to surprise me again?" I mumbled, biting my nail and looking down to my lap.

"Surprise you?"

"Eh? Oh yes.. just like yesterday. He had brought me to this place near our school where you can see the sunset." I stated, "He has heard my mom mumbling about how bad I wanted to watch the sunset."

Tybalt looks at me with a smile on his face, I turned away. I could tell I'm blushing. Then from the corners of my eyes, I saw Tybalt looking back to the road and nodded his head, "I see. So Harold had let you see the sunset, huh?"

"Yes, and it was my best day ever!" I replied, "I will be forever grateful to have you guys as my friends. I am very sure lots of fans out there were craving for my position, but I would never trade this for anything. Thank you for this, you guys are the best."

"Uh.. ehe...- you're welcome, I guess?" He smiles and I returned it right back to him. As Milo pulls over, Harry quickly gets off his car and hopped around with a wide smile across his face. Tybalt too had stopped the car, as I finished unbuckling myself, I get off of the car and looked around. We are on almost the edge of a cliff and it is so beautiful! You can see mountains from afar, bodies of water and the sky is so blue. Though unlike being on top of a moutain, where you could almost touch the clouds, this is enough- a beautiful scenery and really great friends.

As I sighted Harry, I ran to him in an instant and laced my arm into his. Harry looks down at me but his smile never fades.

"Wow!" I exclaimed. "This is the most beautiful place I've ever seen in my entire life!" I added as I closed my eyes and let the cold breeze brush against my skin. It is a good thing that I am wearing long sleeves, otherwise I would be begging for one of these monkeys to let me borrow their jacket. Haha!

"I know right!" Harry shouts, spreading out his arm as he finishes, "I knew you're going to love this place!" Harry cheered and puts his arm around me.

I smiled up to him before wrapping my arm around his small waist, "Thank you, Harry. You're the best twin ever!" I screamed at the top of my lungs and hugged him.

"Harry's right." I let go of Harry as soon as I heard his voice, I turned around to look him. He was looking right back into my eyes with a beautiful smile across his face, he looks like an angel.

Then he chuckles, putting his hands into his pocket as he adds in, "That places like this makes you happy." He finished his sentence with another lovely smile, tears begin to well up in my eyes and I run to him to hug him so tight.

"Thank you, Milo.." I whispered to him, he hugs me back twice as tight as my hug. As much as I wanted us to stay like this forever, I had let go of him and hugged Rin and Romeo who are smiling at me.

"Thank you, guys.." I whispered and finally walked over to Tybalt who was admiring the whole place- taking pictures of it and staring as if he wanted to keep this place in his memory for as long as he lives. But he gasped when I suddenly attacked him with my arms.

"You all have made me so much happier so thank you. This is the best day of my life!" I whispered, resting my head against his chest as I hear him chuckling.

"I thought yesterday was the best day of your life?" My smile went upside down, this guy takes everything so seriously.... now he's using that to tease me.

"It was, but this feels way so much better." I answered, each corner of his lips curved up to form a smile and I smiled back up at him.

"Coffee anybody?" Harry announces and all of our attention was drawn to him. Before anyone could run towards to Harry, I grabbed one coffee and stayed behind him. As the boys got their drinks, Milo and Tybalt had opened each of the car's trunk so we can have something to sit on. But all of us couldn't fit in, so Milo and Romeo had just chosen to stay on the dirt.

We were all sat in complete silence drinking our coffees, no one has ever dared to utter a single word. I was too busy staring at the beautiful scenery right in front of me.

I never would have imagine that I would be here today, I guess meeting Zenith wasn't a coincidence, I think it was fate. We were all destined to meet one another, and I thank God for that. Well that was until Harry has decided to break the ice.

"Why don't we take pictures?"

"Pictures?" I repeated as he nods his head up and down. Milo placed his drink on a big rock and smiles brightly.

"I'd love that!" I cheered and yanked myself off from the trunk.

Harry quickly pulled out his phone from his back pocket and started taking selfies, first he doesn't want me in his pictures but he gave in right in the end. As Harry and I were doing our own thing, I noticed Tybalt and the others has started taking groufies and some selfies too.

I have an idea!

"Guys, uh- can we have a picture all together?" The boys were all in shock, looking over to one another. They probably didn't want to have a group picture with me, but I really want to! I want to remember this day forever, and I want to have something to remind me of today! Also, this will be our first group photo...

I heard them chuckling and I looked up, the boys nodded their heads as my eyes widened. Harry walks near me then bent over beside me as his older brother Milo was standing beside him. Tybalt, Rin and Romeo all bent at the back, while I was still feeling confused...

"I thought you wanted to take a group photo?" Tybalt perks a brow at me.

"Ah! Right! Yeah! Here I go!" I exclaimed, pressing the capture button as we all looked to the camera.

I browsed the photo and I found myself smiling down to it. It was beautiful, we look beautiful. We look so happy.

Harry had his eyebrow raised just like his usual selfies with his hands behind his back and Milo with his rock on sign and open mouth; Tybalt with his brightest smile as his eyes sparkle while Rin with his adorable wacky pose; and Romeo with his serious look.

Me? Oh I just had my biggest smile ever. I can't even remember when I last smiled as big as this.

"Hey, why are you being so emotional today?" Milo giggles, patting my shoulder then soon wrapping his arm around me and pulling me close to him.

"I'm... just so happy today. I'm so happy I'm crying," he giggles once more and took me into his embrace.

He's so warm.

"Hey, love birds! Let's go take a thousand more photos!" Rin shouted making us both laugh and Milo motioned me to walk to them and join them.

***

"Hey," I almost jumped off the cliff when someone behind me spoke all of a sudden. I was waiting for the sunset.

"You almost gave me a heart attack, Harry!" I yelled.

He giggles, "Sorry."

I looked over his shoulder, "Where are the others?"

"Over there," he pointed to the other side, "-admiring the place over and over." I just nodded with a smile and looked at my wrist watch, it is almost time for the sunset.

Harry put his hands behind his back as he stands beside me, waiting for the sun to come all the way and soon be replaced by the moon. We were just standing there quietly when the wind starts to feel a little cold, I smiled warmly when Harry had wrapped one arm around my shoulders, which had lessen the cold I was feeling.

Finally, time has come and the sun is setting. The sky is once again shaded with colors of pink, yellow and orange. It was breathtaking, I could spend the rest of my days watching sunsets and I will never get tired of it. Quickly, I pulled out my phone to take a picture of it as Harry began to spoke.

"We will be leaving tomorrow for tour."
