Chapter: NINE

     We still had a few hours till it was time to leave, so I picked my phone up to give Ash a call. (Ring, Ring, Ring, Ring) "Hello? Ash's Phone, Toni speaking." I hear her one friend say when she answers Ash's phone. "Hello, is Ash around?" I ask "She's laying down for a little while, Is this Rick?" She asks "Yes it is, I was  going to ask Ash if she didn't mind us coming over early, we can also help out if needed." I say and I can hear them in the back ground giggling. "It's alright with us, I'm sure Ash would love for you to be the one to wake her up anyways." I laugh.

     Toni sent me the address so the guys and I put our stuff in my truck then we headed over to the barn where I was sure to find my mother and father would be. My father was cleaning up the tack room and my mother was in one of the stalls brushing a horse that my father just brought home yesterday. I let them know that we are heading out to go to Ash's place and to link me if they need anything. 

     I'm so excited and of course, Max is jumping and running around in my mind likea love sick puppy dog. I laugh and shake my head. Max is 99.9% serous most days so its a real treat to have hime like this. . . It is very entertaining for sure.

          (Toni's POV)

     I'm just walking into the kitchen when I start hearing a phone ringing. I look around to find Ash's phone on the table so I went and answered it for her. It was that Rick guy and he asked if it was alright if him and his friends could come over early and of course we didn't mind at all so once we hung up i texted the address to him. 

     We were putting up some decorations and even a gift table just incase Ash is brought any gifts even thoughwe said that they are not required. Ash is very big on the no gifts unless it is something she really needs, but she never asks for anything, she has always worked for what she wanted or even needed.

(NOCKING!!!)

     "Come in, we're in the kitchen!!" I yell out to whoever is at the door. After a few moments, I see Rick and his tow friends walk into the kitchen. I noticed he was looking around for Ash. I smile and say "Hey, how are you guys doing? Thanks for comeing." They nod then I point over to the stairs and tell Rick to go on ahead up. He nods and the others staied in the kitchen. 

          (Ricks POV)

     I go up to Ash's room and find her huddled up in a ball like a small child. I run my fingers up and down her exposed arm. The instant my fingers touched her, the lingling of sparks were felt and they were prety strong. "Mate is dreaming. . . Maybe of us." Max says in a hush voice.

     I sit on the side of her bed, she must have senced me because she slowly turns her head with her eyes partly open. "Hey beautiful, I'm here." I say with a whisper. She stares at me for a moment then shows me her beautiful sleepy smile. "When did you get here?" She asks while rubbing her eyes. "I called your phone but your friend Toni answered and said you were laying down so i asked if it was alright for us to come over early." I say with a smile. I reach out to touch her cheek and to my surprise she leans right into my hand. I can hear Max purring like crazy.

     "OH" She says, she looks away from me, like she has something on her mind. "What is it love?" I ask, then she looks back at me. "Can I talk to you about something? It's going to sound insane because I really think that I just might be losing my mind." I nod for her to continue, she takes a deep breath. . . The night before last, I had one hell of a dream," She stops for a moment like she is still trying to get her words in order.

     I then take both of her hands into mine and easaly pull her onto my lap to hold on to her as close as I possably can. "Love, there are alot of things that are needed to be explained and it is alot to take in as well, but they must be said because today you turn 18." I say. She's still on my lap and I feel her snuggle into me as close as she can. I let out a small sigh of relaxation. "Well, thats a good sign, mate is trusting us." Max says. I can hear his tail thumping like crazy.
