Mercedes seccussfully got Horace out of Drakoen's clutches. Once she was sure he was gone, her head hung low in exhaustion, breething slowly. She begged Drakoen to allow her to open the portal. She didn't want to take chances and allow him to be the one to send him off. With power low and weak, it was quite a challenge to create a portal and it alsmot drained the life out of her. Still, the was no way she was going to trust him with that. Drakoen knew she didn't trust him and she was right not to. If she did, she would be foolish because he was not going to let him go. For the sake of his plan, he unwillingly gave in to her demands. " I have let you do what you want so now it's my turn. Let's not wasted anymore time." That was it? Was the way things were going to end for her? Pathetically, without even fighting back? What a shame. The prophecy should have mentioned that she was going to lose to Drakoen, then she would have lived her life properly with her loves ones till the time
Something unexpected happened that afternoon. No one saw that coming. Through out Vaughnorths academy, a wail of a baby was heard. Everyone couldn't believe what they were hearing. From where ever they were, they all headed in the direction they heard the sound come from. Felix, Alexa and Isadora were in tow. When they got to the scene, many people were already there, surrounding the baby. Felix pushed through the crowd in anticipation. It's been a while but he couldn't mistake the sound of his own child 's cry. Felix pushed through the crowd until he reached the opening where his son was laying on the ground. He froze in disbelief. Despite his loud wails, it didn't feel real. His son was back. Right in front of him and he was alone. Everyone was murmuring to themselves while none made the attempt to pick up the child to pacify. He snapped out of his daze and went to pick his son up. He turned his back to the people and shielded Horace from their prying eyes. He held him against his
Alexa woke up and all the memories from last night came flooding back. Isadora was asleep sitting on the chair with her head on the bed and she was hldong Alexa's hand. She stayed by her side all night. Alexa felt bad for being an inconvenience to her. Isadora was doing her best to be her support. She was feeling better and the pain she was feeling was gone. The pain was intense that it knocked her out. She didn't know she felt that way. It felt like the emotions she was feeling were not her own. Could they be Mercedes's emotions? She wondered. Something must have happened to her in the dream space. Without realising it, she must have been contracted her pain from there. That's the only explanation she could come up with at the moment. While she was still consumed by her thoughts, she felt her hand tightening. Isadora was holding on to her tightly and started mumbling in her sleep. " Don't worry. I won't leave you. I'm right here." Alexa couldnt help but smile. She really cared
Mercedes couldn't sleep at all. She was afraid to close her eyes thinking that Drakoen would take the chance to do whatever he wants with them. She thought about what he said to her but how could she make a choice. All night, she couldn't come up with a solution. Her eyes bloodshot because of lack of sleep and distress. Drakoen walked into the room with a blank expression on his face. He watched Mercedes and was pleased to see that she looked bad. A small smile appeared on his face. " It's a new day. A beautiful day at that but here you are looking like a train wreck," he said turning up his nose at her. Mercedes didn't care about what his insults. That was the least of her worries. " I get it. You have a tough choice to make so you must have stayed up all night giving it some thought. In that case, I hope you have an answer for me." Mercedes was quiet and looked at him like an animal ready to pounce. " Well, what's it gonna be? Is it going to be you or your boy?" Mercedes
That night, as planned, Isadora came to Alexa's room. She thought she would find her waiting for her but she found her asleep. That made Isadora relieved that she was finally resting so she didn't wake her up. She took a chair and sat beside her in the dark. The moon was full and illuminating the room, shining the light in Alexa's face. Isadora was enamoured by her beauty, she couldn't help but want to touch her. What she was doing was wrong and she knew it but the overwhelming feeling to just feel her glowing skin under her finger tips was stronger than her restraint. Her hand hovered above Alexa's face, momentarily blocking the moon light. Isadora could feel her light even breaths on her palm tickling her. She smiled when Alexa scrunched her nose cutely. She brushed off the stray strand of hair that fell in Alexa's face, bothering her. Isadora got lost in watching Alexa sleep that that she ended up falling asleep holding her head up with her hand. After sometime, Alexa opened her
Alexa couldn't sleep at night. She tossed and turned. She woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't back to sleep. She had a dream about Mercedes, yet she couldn't see her. All she could hear was her voice full or fear and terror, yelling out for help. Alexa looked for her all over but she could never find her. She has been unsettled since then. Something was telling her that she was in trouble and she needed their help. After all, she was in Drakoen's den. Anything could be going down. Alexa was angry and frustrated that she was not with her when she needs her. Even though she didn't want to, she had to keep quiet about her dream. If she told this Felix, he would surely lose his mind and it would do neither of them any good. She just needed to stay calm so she could be able to think clearly. Everything they tried, failed. Drakoen hid his domain very well. They couldn't find Mercedes and Horace. The only thing they could do was wait for Drakoen to show himself only then wou
