I woke up from my alarm blaring.

Goodness! I thought I had turned off the alarm yesterday.

I groan as I try to look for the phone and switch off the stupid alarm.

I have no intention of getting up from bed early today.

After all the sleepless nights I had, I think I deserve a little break today.

I switch off the alarm and turn to continue sleeping.

"Good morning" mom's voice echoes after that.

"Mom, please don't disturb me today, I need to get more sleep" I whine.

"Do you know what time is it?" she asks, ignoring me.

"It's seven thirty" she adds.

Well, I don't care.

"What about your job, huh! Aren't you going today?" she asks.

I wanted to lie to her and tell her that I won't be going today but I know she can see through all my lies.

"I will be going, but let me sleep some more" I say and try to cover my head with the pillow.

"No, I won't allow you to be late on your first day, this would bring a wrong impression of you to the employer, come on, get up" she tries to p
