Zephyra

I left the hospital, with soft sobs escaping my lips, walking into the chest if my brother; Z what’s wrong… I looked up at him, how could I tell my brother that his best friend had taken away my last ray of hope…

“Nothing, can I have the keys?

“Sure”

Before he could say anything, I brushed past him and left; I just needed to be alone… I jumped into the car and drove out of the parking lot, I took the scenic route to what used to be mine and Nate’s love nest, I rolled up to the driveway and stared blankly. My mind had a billion questions ruing a mock in my mind. I got out the car and walked up the rest of the driveway; tears streaming down my face, I could hear the echoes of our laughter ringing through the house as I opened the door. Nate’s scent hanging in the air, strumming at my heart strings. I walked up to our bedroom, looking at the bed we made love in so many times… I pushed past the memories, it was all in the past. I grabbed a bag and stuffed all my clothes and what
