Chapter 46

“What does that mean? I thought she was dead.” Ryker said, rushing over to my side. I couldn’t answer his questions, I couldn’t think clearly let alone speak. My mom was alive, she was probably being held hostage by Arthur. I don’t know why he was keeping her alive but knowing him, it couldn’t be anything good.

“Where is she, why hasn’t she contacted you?” Felix asked. Why did they keep asking me questions, couldn’t they leave me alone to think?

“She is near where Arthur is, I think he is holding her captive.”

The more that I thought about the situation, the more it worried me. I was concerned that Arthur had never told me that he had my mom. He wanted me to be with him and he could have used my mom as leverage to get what he wanted. The fact that he hadn’t done so, made me worry that he had hurt her in some way.

Onyx growled in my head, she wanted to kill Arthur already. This was just fueling her hatred even more. She was determined that we would be the ones to rip him to pieces
