Sienna’s Point of View

The Next Morning the air smells like damp earth and smoke when I walk into the packhouse meeting room.

Warriors line the walls. Scott stands at the head of the table, his arms folded in front of his chest, with his beta and gamma seated next to him.

Andrew, his Gamma, looks up when I enter.

“Good morning, Sienna. How are the patients today?”

“Tired but stable.”

I reply, taking a seat.

“A few will need another day or two of rest, but there are no other fatalities aside from the two we lost last night.”

I say. Scott’s jaw tightens as he looks around the room.

“One that note, I just want to say, good work last night. All of you.”

The warriors nod, murmuring their thanks.

Scott’s Beta, Marcus, clears his throat.

“Alpha, we found something unusual at the attack site.”

Scott gestures for him to continue.

Marcus lays out a torn piece of fabric, black, marked with a strange, swirling symbol burned into the corner.

“What is that?”

Asher’s Point of View “Asher!” I hear a voice yelling down the hall and my head snaps up. It immediately begins pounding at the sound and action, and I groan. The door slams open, richocheing off the wall and I wince at the sound. “What the hell is wrong with you?” My mother’s voice cuts through my office sharply. I close my eyes and rub my temples. “Good morning to you too, Mother.” I mumble, opening my eyes. “Do not start with me, Asher.” She snaps at me. “Do you have any idea what is going on out there?”She asks, her hands on her hips. “Well, I am guessing that it is something that is going to make my headache even worse than it already is.”I say dryly and she glares at me. “Sienna is leaving, that is what is going on! She is leaving, again! And you are sitting here drowning yourself in whiskey like a fool.”She yells, throwing her hand up in the air and I groan again. “Mother, I don’t need the lecture.” “You damn well do! You let that girl go once beca

Sienna’s Point of View“I am going to go over and help Bianca pack up her things and sort out what we are taking with us today and what needs to be sent later.” He says, standing at the door, already dressed and ready to go.I nod quickly nod my head. “Alright. Don’t forget Ethan’s things, too.”I say and he smiles faintly at me. “Trust me, Bianca already has a whole list.”“Of course she does. It is a mom thing.” I say, shaking my head with a smile. “I will be back in a couple hours and we will come pick you guys up?”He asks and I nod my head.“Yes, we will be here. Have fun.”I say, and he nods his head before quickly heading out.I make my way back into the kitchen where Aiden is sitting in between my parents at the table, talking animatedly about the cookies he and I baked.“They had chocolate chips and sprinkles, Grandpa!”He says and my father laughs. “That sounds delicious, buddy.”“They were!” He says proudly, nodding his head. “Uncle Scott said that they were the bes

Asher’s Point of View My office door bursts opens and I glare at Peter, Derek and Jake as they storm into my office. “What the hell is going on with you, man?” Peter ask as soon as they are inside. “Nothing.” I mutter, staring down at the glass in my hand. "Nothing?” Jake scoffs, shaking his head. “You look like hell. You have been drinking a lot, you are snapping at everyone. You are locking yourself away... what the hell do you call that? Meditation?” He snaps at me and Peter nods his head, agreeing with him. “Exactly. This is bullshit. Something has been up with you for months now. And we are sick of it. We want to know what is going on. Now.” He demands, folding his arms in front of his chest and I growl lowly at him. “Just tell them, Asher.” Derek says flatly and I look at him sharply. “Derek...” I begin, but he holds up a hand, cutting me off. “No. Enough of this. You have been a walking nightmare, and they deserve to know why. If you don’t te

Sienna’s Point of View The house is quite. Scott went to go see Ethan again and my mother and Aiden already left for the hospital. I am just grabbing my bag, ready to head to the hospital myself, when there is suddenly a knock at the door. I frown slightly, setting my keys and bag back down on the table before walking over to the door. When I open the door, I freeze in my spot. “Bianca.” Her name slips out before I can stop it. I immediately see her red-rimmed eyes, her hands that are clasped together, and her hesitant posture. My stomach tightens slightly. “Good morning, Sienna.” She says softly, offering me a small, polite smile. “I am sorry to bother you, but I was hoping that we could talk.” My throat tightens and I swallow hard, shuffling my feet slightly. “I don’t think that is necessary.” I finally manage to say after a few seconds of silence, forcing a polite but stiff smile. Bianca sighs quietly, her shoulders drooping just a little. “Please, Sienna.

Sienna’s Point of View The afternoon sun is warm on my skin, and Aiden’s laughter fills the garden as he chases butterflies between my mother's flowerbeds. I sit on the grass, half-watching him and half-lost in my thoughts when I hear footsteps coming up behind me. “Hey.” Scott’s familiar voice says, and I turn to see him walking towards us, with a tired but gentle smile on his face. Before I can even greet him, Aiden spots him and his lights up instantly. “Hi, Uncle Scott!” He calls out and begins running towards him with something clutched in his hand. “Do you want a cookie? Me and Mommy baked!” He says excitedly, holding the cookie out to Scott, who chuckles and crouches down to Aiden’s level. “Oh, you did? That sounds amazing.” He says as he takes the cookie from Aiden’s outstretched hand and pretends to take a huge bite. “Wow, this is the best cookie ever.” He says with wide eyes and Aiden beams up at him with pride, bouncing on his toes. “I told you! I made t

Sienna’s Point of ViewI frown as something soft pokes at my cheek. Once. Twice.“Mommy, wake up.”A tiny voice suddenly whispers close to my ear.I groan softly and blink my eyes open, and the first thing I see is Aiden’s face hovering over mine, his big brown eyes wide and full of excitement.“Good morning, baby.” I mumble, my voice still heavy with sleep. He grins at me, showing off his tiny dimples. “Mommy, Grandma left already, but she made us pancakes!”He says excitedly, his eyes sparkling, and it makes me smile, even though my chest aches the moment I look into his eyes, those same eyes that remind me so much of Asher. I push the thought away and reach up to tuck a stray curl behind Aiden’s ear.“She did, huh?”I ask and he quickly nods his head, bouncing a little on the bed. “Yes! And they have chocolate chips! And she said I could eat two, but maybe we can make that three if you don’t tell her?”I laugh softly, sitting up and pulling him into my arms. “Three pancakes,
