LEANNA’S POV“You can’t be serious!” I half yelled, suppressing a wince as I fought to keep whatever energy I had left from the bout. I stared at him in defiance as I protested with my gaze. LEANNA’S POV“Who are you and why are you attacking me?” I barked, narrowing my eyes as I readied myself. I didn’t expect them to answer so I was caught off guard when a gruff voice resounded in the area between us.“You should’ve never invoked the trials,” and with that, I watched as he lunged at me with a speed that didn’t suit his figure.My breath halted in my throat as I fought to maintain a calm state. My pupils constricted as I hurriedly ducked out of the way, losing my footing in the process.I retreated, never once turning my back towards him as I created distance between us. LEANNA’S POV“Ugh, my head,” a soft groan escaped my lips as the sunlight that filtered through the canopy of trees pierced my eyes. My eyes were blurry as I surveyed my surroundings in a bid to remember what had happened. But it was to no avail.My back was propped up against a tree with no one else in sight.
