The soft morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a gentle glow across the quiet room.

Amara’s eyes fluttered open, and it took a moment for her to register her surroundings.

A soft sigh left her lips when she realized she was in her room, but then she noticed a sudden warmth beneath her and felt herself pressed against someone.

Panicked, she lifted her head and froze.

Darius was lying beside her. His crimson hair fell messily over his face.

His features were softened in sleep, and for a moment, he looked so peaceful it was hard to look away.

Her breath caught in her throat as she stared at him, her heart pounding fiercely in her chest.

She wanted to move, to slip away quietly before he woke up, but she didn’t want to wake him.

Darius shifted slightly, a faint murmur escaping his lips.

Her eyes dropped to his hand, resting on the bed betw

Amara was having breakfast in bed while her two personal nurses were seated in the room, watching her as Amara forced the food down her throat. She hated her condition and couldn’t wait to start using her legs. She was used to eating meals downstairs with the twins, but now it seemed she wouldn’t do that for a while. “Are you okay? Don’t you like the meal?” one of the nurses, an older lady with a low haircut, asked as she stared at Amara with curiosity, noticing she was picking at her food. Amara flashed a weak smile, trying to hide the frustration bubbling inside her. “It’s fine,” she murmured, her voice hoarse. “I’m just not very hungry.” The older nurse exchanged a glance with the younger one, concern flickering in her eyes. “You need to eat, dear,” she said gently, leaning forward. “Your body needs strength to heal and for further therapy. “The doctor will not be pleased if you’re sk

“What are you saying?” Damon asked, confused. Darius nodded. “Yes, brother, you heard me right. If you really want to prove to me that you have let go of Amara, and that you want us together, then you have to prove it by getting married and starting a family. I believe Amara will kill any lingering feeling she has for you the moment she realizes you are married.” Darius said. Damon narrowed his gaze at his brother, unable to believe Darius was bringing such a suggestion to him. Damon’s wolf growled angrily, but Damon kept his wolf at bay and glared at Darius. “I have sacrificed so much for you, brother, but forcing me to get married—I won’t do it. If I were you, I’d focus on making Amara fall for me. Now excuse me,” Damon spat, brushing past Darius. As he walked away, Darius, seething with anger, stormed into his room and slumped into his seat.

  • The Luna they both Claimed    Let her go

The door to Amara’s room pushed open, and it was Darius walking in with a bouquet of roses. He slowly shut the door and moved over to where Amara was lying on the bed, watching him. “Hi,” he said softly, then leaned down to place a kiss on her forehead before settling into the chair beside her. “I got you these,” he said, handing the bouquet of roses to Amara, which she took and inhaled the scent before looking back at him. “Thank you,” she said softly and kept the flowers aside. Awkward tension filled the air as neither of them spoke, until Darius cleared his throat and began to speak. “I’m sorry about walking out on you. I just lost my temper and shouldn’t have,” he apologized, while Amara remained silent, not knowing what to say. Darius realized Amara wasn’t going to respond, and it got him worried as he wondered what was going through her mind. Amara, on the other han

  • The Luna they both Claimed    Helping her

It had been hours since Darius angrily left her room, and he hadn’t returned. Amara sighed, her gaze drifting to the window where the dark night pressed against the glass. She glanced at the clock on the wall. It was already 07:00 p.m., and there was still no sign of Darius. A maid had come earlier asking if she needed anything, but Amara had sent her away, claiming she was fine. Amara felt pressured and wanted to use the restroom, but she couldn’t move her legs, as she needed assistance. Her personal nurse wouldn’t start until tomorrow, leaving her utterly alone. Amara sighed at her helplessness and stared at her legs, trying to move them, but they wouldn’t respond. She knew she would use her legs again eventually. They were already healing, but it would take at least two weeks before she could start walking. She wondered how she was going to cope with being crippled for the next two weeks.

The sleek, black SUV drove into the mansion, and after it stopped, Darius got down from the backseat and moved to the other side of the car. One of the guards took out Amara’s wheelchair from the boot of the car, but Darius shook his head. Just take it upstairs to her room. I’ll carry her. Darius said to the guard, and opened the door to Amara’s side of the car. You don’t have to do it. I can use the wheelchair, Amara suggested. But Darius shook his head in disapproval. No, let me do it. Darius leaned into the car, his strong arms effortlessly wrapping around Amara as he lifted her out. Amara sighed softly, her protests quieting as she rested her hands on his chest. The faint scent of his cologne filled her senses, grounding her. You don’t always have to be the hero, Amara murmured as Darius began walking toward the mansion. It’s not about being a hero, he replied, his voice low but stea

I think you should leave. Amara demanded. Damon’s eyes widened, but he quickly masked it with a blank look and glanced at Amara and Darius, before turning around and leaving, not wanting them to see his pain. As he shut the door, Amara felt a slight discomfort in her chest. She could see the pain in his eyes when she asked him to leave, but she had to send him away to prevent an argument between them. She knew Damon wouldn’t see it that way, and she wished she could explain it to him, but that would have to be later. What are you thinking about? Darius asked when he noticed she had been quietly staring at the door. Amara inhaled deeply and looked back at Darius. It’s nothing, she lied. Darius could tell she wasn’t being truthful, but he didn’t want to press further, so he decided to let it go. He sat on the bed beside Amara and took her hand into his. Don’t worry, you wil
