The next day wasn't any special. Most of the time, I helped Kai in the medical wing. He was so busy with a patient. This man really turned into the most serious doctor whenever it came to his job. In the evening, I stayed with Ms. Beth in the grand hall. She had been commanding the staff to decorate it flawlessly. I heard there would be a party, so I didn't ask her anything.

“Your Majesty is here.” Someone announced.

The first thing Ms. Beth did was to stand in front of me, concealing my presence behind her. “You shouldn't let her see you.” She warned me.

Shortly, The Queen Regent, Vanessa Callisto entered the hall and everyone bowed to her. So did I.

However, I stayed where I was. Ms. Beth definitely had her reasons. I remembered Alastair said she was dangerous enough to shoot me.

“How’s it going?” I heard Vanessa spoke to Ms. Beth.

Though I had no intention of confronting the Queen regent, her strong voice compelled me to sneak a glance. I mean it wouldn't harm.
