I slammed the door so hard my hand stung right away. My heart would not slow down. It kept pounding like it wanted to jump out. I ran down the hall to my room and locked the door fast. I pressed my back against it and slid all the way down to the floor. My legs felt weak. What the hell did I just walk in on. Riven on his bed with his shorts down and his hand moving on himself and my video playing right there on his phone. My own video where I was moaning his name like an idiot. I squeezed my eyes shut tight but the picture stayed in my head. Him groaning. His body all tense. The mess on his stomach. I did not see that. I told myself over and over. I did not see anything at all. I sat there on the floor for what felt like forever. My face burned hot. My breathing came out all shaky. Part of me wanted to go back and yell at him for stealing my private video. Another part wanted to hide under the bed and never come out. This was all so messed up. He was my stepbrother. I hated him. He made fun of me and my mom when they first moved in. But now this. I whispered to myself again. Nothing happened. I saw nothing. I crawled into my bed and pulled the covers over my head. Sleep took a long time to come. Every time I closed my eyes I heard him say my name like that. Rough and desperate. It made my stomach twist in a weird way. I hated it. I hated him. But I could not stop thinking about it either. The next morning I woke up feeling like crap. My eyes were puffy from not sleeping much. Mom yelled up the stairs that breakfast was ready. I dragged myself down and sat at the table as far from Riven’s usual spot as I could. I stared at my bowl of cereal and pushed the flakes around with my spoon. He came in a couple minutes later. His hair looked messy like he just rolled out of bed. He sat down and glanced at me right away. I kept my eyes on my food. Do not look at him. Do not think about last night. Mom passed the milk. “Here Izzy pass this to your brother.” I handed it over without lifting my head. Under the table I squeezed my thighs together tight. That ache from last night came back a little. I remembered how he looked. How hard he was. How he moved his hand. Stop it Izzy. I kicked myself mentally. Riven cleared his throat loud. “Practice sucked yesterday,” he said to Dad. His voice sounded rough. Kind of smug but tired too. “Coach rode us hard.” Dad started talking about hockey and games coming up. I tried to listen but my mind kept drifting. Riven’s foot bumped mine under the table on purpose. I kicked him back harder. He smirked a little. I could see it from the corner of my eye. When I looked up quick his eyes were on me. That same look from last night. My cheeks got hot again. I looked away fast. “You okay honey?” Mom asked. She sounded worried. “You’re really quiet this morning.” “I’m fine,” I said. My voice came out squeaky. “Just tired from school stuff. No big deal.” Riven snorted under his breath like he did not believe me. I kicked him again. He kicked back. Our legs tangled for a second under the table. I pulled away quick. My heart raced. This was stupid. Why did my body feel warm all over just from that. I hated how he made me feel now. Like I wanted to yell at him and kiss him at the same time. No. Not kiss. I did not see anything last night. That was my story and I was sticking to it. Breakfast dragged on forever. Dad asked Riven about his next game. Riven answered but kept sneaking looks at me. I ate my cereal fast and stood up to leave. “I got homework,” I mumbled. Riven stood up too. “I’ll help with dishes.” Mom smiled at that. “Nice to see you two getting along.” We did not get along. Not at all. In the kitchen he came up close while I rinsed a plate. “We need to talk Izzy,” he said low so our parents would not hear. I handed him the plate. “Talk about what? I do not know what you mean.” He took it and put it in the dishwasher. His arm brushed mine. “You know exactly. Last night. You opened my door. You saw me with the video.” I shook my head fast. “Nope. Wrong door. I saw nothing. You are making this up.” He stepped closer. “Bullshit. Your face went red as a tomato. You heard me say your name. You saw me finish.” “Shut up,” I hissed. I dried my hands on a towel. “I did not see you jerking off or anything like that. Leave me alone Riven.” He grabbed my wrist gently. “Why are you lying? It is okay. We can figure this out.” I pulled away. “There is nothing to figure out. Go bug someone else.” I walked out fast and went to my room. The rest of the day I stayed in there. I tried to do homework but my mind kept going back. Him on the bed. Moaning my name. It made me feel restless. Wet even. I lay on my bed later when the house got quiet. Mom and Dad went out shopping or something. I slipped my hand under my shorts again. Just to see. I was already wet. I rubbed slow at first thinking about what I did not see. His hand moving fast. His face when he came. I moved my fingers quicker. It felt so good. My breath got all ragged. I whispered his name without meaning to. “Riven… damn you.” Footsteps came down the hall. My eyes popped open. I yanked my hand out and fixed my clothes. Heart hammering. The door handle turned. “Izzy you in there?” Riven called. “Go away,” I yelled. “I am busy.”Chapter 54 Riven She was still talking when I felt it.My dick was hard again. Not half hard. Not the leftover kind that fades if you ignore it. Full, heavy, pressing against the zipper I had just fixed five minutes ago. It hurt. It made everything she said sound farther away even though she was right in front of me.“You wanted to see if I would stop her,” she said. Her voice was still raw. “You stood there and watched her put her mouth on me and you came on us and now you want to act like this is some deep test of loyalty.”I did not answer right away. I was trying to keep my hands at my sides so she would not see how bad it was.“Riven.”“I heard you.”“Then say something that is not just ‘I know.’”“I already said I know.”“That is not enough.”I took a step back. The wall was behind me now. My back touched it. The pressure in my pants got worse the second I moved.“I need a minute,” I said. She blinked. “What.”“I need to use the bathroom.”“You are walking away.”“I am walking
Chapter 53LilyI did not go to my room.I walked down the stairs with Izzy’s big grey hoodie hanging past my thighs and my shorts sitting crooked on my hips. My skin was still buzzing, and my cheek still hurt where she had slapped me. I touched it lightly and smiled. It was a good kind of pain. Sharp and clear. It reminded me that I had finally gotten under her skin. She could act angry all she wanted, but I knew what I had seen upstairs. She had tried to push me away, yet she had still held onto me. She had screamed at me, but she had also been shaken by what happened between us. She could tell herself that she hated me, but I knew I had left something behind in her mind that she could not simply erase.I walked into the kitchen, the cold floor pressing against my bare feet. The house was too quiet. It was the kind of silence that made me uncomfortable because it gave people too much time to think. I opened the fridge, grabbed a bottle of water, and drank half of it before wiping my
Chapter 52 RivenI watched her shove Lily off.Not a little push. Not the kind of thing where she was trying to make a point without actually doing anything. She put both hands on Lily's shoulders and threw her sideways and Lily hit the mattress with a sound that was more surprise than pain."Get off me."Lily caught herself on one elbow and stared at Izzy like she had just grown a second head. Her hair was still wet and tangled from where Izzy had been pulling it and there was a red mark on her cheek from the slap and she looked insane. Completely insane. Sitting there naked on the bed with her mouth still wet and her whole body still angled toward Izzy like she was not done yet."What the hell," Lily said."No." Izzy was already standing up. I do not know when she decided to stand up. She was just suddenly on her feet with her shirt still pushed up and my come drying on her thigh and her whole body shaking. "No. This is done. Get out.""Izzy.""I said get out."I did not move from
Chapter 51 Izzy Lily did not stay in the doorway. She looked at Riven’s open pants. She looked at my hand, still stupidly half raised like I had forgotten what a hand was for. She looked at my face. Then she stepped inside and shut the door behind her with her heel.“Can I join you,” she said.It was not even a question the way a normal person asks a question. She said it like she already knew the answer and she was only checking if we were going to pretend otherwise.“Lily,” I said. “Get out.”“No.”Riven had not moved from the door. He was still hard. He had not even tried to put himself away. He looked at her the way he had looked at me two minutes ago, like he was waiting to see which one of us would break first.Lily pulled her shirt over her head and dropped it on the floor.“Lily, stop.”She pushed her shorts down next. No bra. No underwear. She stood there like that was a normal thing to do in someone else’s room after you just walked in on them.“Suck it,” she said.I stare
Chapter 50 Izzy Riven's mouth curved. Not quite a smile. Something harder than that. Something that said he knew exactly what I'd just decided and he was already planning what to do with it. "Good girl," he said again. "Shut up." "Make me." Lily's footsteps started again. Moving away from the stairs now. Toward the kitchen. She was giving up. She was going to make coffee and sit at the table and wait for us to come down and have no idea that we were both up here doing something that would change everything. "Where do you think she is right now?" Riven asked. His voice was still low but it had an edge to it now. "In her head. What do you think she's thinking?" "I don't know." "I do." He shifted his hips again and watched my face as I reacted. "She's thinking about last night. She's thinking about what she did to you and how you looked after and how you barely said a word this morning. She's wondering if she went too far. Or not far enough. She's sitting at that table right now
Chapter 49Izzy Riven didn't stop. His hand stayed over mine, pressing my palm flat against the hard length of him through his pants, and he didn't look away from my face for even a second. I could feel the heat of him through the fabric, the twitch of something underneath my fingers that made my stomach do a slow, sick flip. His jaw was tight. His eyes were darker than I'd ever seen them."Don't pull away," he said. His voice was quiet but it wasn't soft. There was nothing soft about any of this."Riven, Lily is literally right upstairs.""I know where she is.""She's going to come down.""Then you better be quiet."I stared at him. My hand was still trapped under his, still pressed against him, and I could feel every breath he took moving through his body. He shifted his hips a little and the pressure under my palm changed and I had to bite the inside of my cheek to keep from making a sound."You're insane," I whispered."Probably." His thumb moved over the back of my hand, slow an
Izzy I spent the whole afternoon in that room they gave me trying to make it feel like mine instead of some fancy guest suite I didn’t earn. Mom kept popping in every ten minutes with that bright new-wife smile, handing me extra hangers and asking if I needed help unpacking, while Mr. Holt Dad
Izzy Dear Diary, I think I’m finally ready to stop being a virgin. I’ve been good my whole damn life, keeping my head down, chasing jobs that barely paid rent, and now this one thing, this one infuriating, stupidly hot guy has me twisted up so bad I can’t even think straight. But I have to play
Izzy He pushed the door open anyway. I jumped up and tried to shove it closed but he slipped in and shut it behind him. He looked at me. My face felt flushed. Breathing still fast.“You okay?” he asked. “You look all red and out of breath.”“I am fine,” I snapped. “What do you want? Get out of my
Riven I shifted on the bed trying to ignore it pushing the phone down for a second and running a hand through my hair thinking about all the reasons this was stupid I hated how she looked at me like I was the intruder when they moved in and how she fought back every time instead of just staying ou
