Chapter Fifty-Nine (Anders)

As we rushed back to the castle, anger bubbled uncontrollably. Whoever let that traitor out was going to have a slow and painful death. Luckily, I had cameras everywhere. Not even the Elders and their minions knew where they all were. I made sure there were some that only I knew about.

Reaching the tree we had left our clothes at, we shifted and quickly dressed, rushing back. Isla was looking behind her, worried, probably thinking that the sicko was waiting somewhere to finish what he started. I growled, looking around for him, too.

I stopped and looked at her. “He won’t get to you again. I promise.”

“I know.” She nodded as she walked in front of me, heading back inside.

I walked her back to our temporary room. As I was about to leave, she hesitated and grabbed my arm.

I looked at her. “You’ll be fine.”

Rolling her eyes, she retorted, “I’m not worried about me. I’m worried about you. He has an immortal scythe, and we don’t know where it is hidden. He could kill you.”
