"Careful," I hiss at Ward as he climbs the stairs in the pack house.

Ward turns several shades of red as he looks in my direction. "Princess, I am doing much better," he says.

I roll my eyes as Ward limps pitifully up the stairs. The tough guy show that he is putting on for everyone else isn't fooling me.
