Listening through my bathroom door I try to make out what Kayla and Ward are arguing over but it all sounds muffled. Sometimes I hate not having an inner wolf to heighten my senses for times like this. I need to know what is being said but I am also not ready to see Ward.

I was positive that he was my person. No matter who comes into my life, I already know that they will not be able to compare to Ward. He is so kind and heartwarming. Whenever I am around him he makes me feel all fuzzy inside. When I rejected Jarek I was sure that I would miss the feeling of the mate bond tingles that spread throughout my body whenever he accidently touched me. But with Ward by my side I don't miss them at all. In fact, I am glad that the tingles are gone. They were just a sour reminder of a bond that was never meant to be.
