Chapter 5: Please!

Elias finished up with the name intake and rushed to his first class alongside the lycans, who were still glaring at him and whispering among themselves. He found it difficult to focus in the class.

“You! You!!”

He regained his senses to see the professor standing right in front of him with a rod.

“What?” he muttered in shock as his gaze met the professor's.

“What?” The professor hit him on the head. “What was my last statement?”

Elias looked around in confusion, hoping to get a clue, freaking out under the professor's fierce eyes. His lips quivered but then no word would come out.

“Get up!” the professor scolded. Elias was still in a daze, which led to another knock on his head.

“Is this a college or elementary school? What did I do?”

“Shut up!”

What followed was a more painful hit. The sound of Elias’s bones cracking echoed in the class, followed by a pounding headache. “Do you think you're still in your country or among your fellow werewolves? Is that why you're acting recklessly?”

His words made it obvious to Elias that he was being discriminated against because of his status. It was at that moment he started regretting ever applying to this college but it was too late to go back. There was no going back. The government wouldn't refund the millions paid to the college on his behalf or forward it to the next college he might apply to.

“Wow, such authority?” An authoritative voice rang in the class. Everyone turned to see who it was. At an exclusive spot in the auditorium, Prince Kael Viren and seven lycan seniors stood watching them.

No one had noticed their arrival.

“What will you do to him?” Kael asked the professor as he walked towards him. Everyone whispered among themselves as they watched the scene unfold.

“Your Highness, you don't have to interfere with the affairs of...”

“Did you have to maltreat him because he's a werewolf?”

“I’m sorry, Your Highness. I’ll never do such a thing again.” He initially wanted to stand his ground, but when he saw Kael's bloodshot eyes, he quickly bowed. He knew that if he didn’t surrender, there was a high chance Kael would cause him to lose his job. After all, he was the Lycan Prince—the potential Lycan King.

As Kael turned to leave the auditorium, Elias rushed up toward him, but was stopped by Kael’s cold eyes. Elias staggered back in fear, puzzled as to why he still acted cold despite defending him for the third time.

“Focus on the class.” After saying this, Kael left with his group. Before leaving, he glared at the lecturer, as if warning him not to try anything stupid.

Elias froze on the spot, staring at Kael and his men until they were out of sight.

His classes ended in the afternoon, and he rushed back to the hostel, hoping to see Kael and thank him for helping earlier but he was nowhere to be found. His heart dulled, shadowed by disappointment.

He then freshened up and headed to the cafeteria for lunch. His feeding wasn’t part of the scholarship, he needed to cover that himself. He had only a thousand dollars to spare. At a normal school, that would’ve lasted a while, but the prices here? It was obvious he’d be starving soon.

“This is why I need a job,” he murmured to himself.

As he was heading back to the dorm, he was stopped by members of the R8 group. Kael wasn’t among them. Elias furrowed his brow, realizing he was surrounded—ambushed, with no way to escape. He thought he was going to be tortured now that the one who usually defended him was absent. Just when it seemed all hope was lost, Kael appeared, stopping his gang.

“If you don’t want to live in constant fear, I have a proposal for you.”

“W-what is it?”

“If you want to avoid being tortured during your stay here, become my personal servant. This is the only way you’ll remain safe. I asked you this before and you said nothing. So I’m here to ask again...for the last time.” His voice thundered.

“But…”

“It’s up to you. As you can see, they’re eager to bounce on you. It’s your decision: study in peace or live in fear.” Kael gestured at the group who were glaring at Elias.

“Yes, I accept.” Elias swallowed the lump in his throat. “I’ll take this risk,” he whispered to his wolf. “Hoping it doesn’t end badly.”

“No, it wouldn’t,” his wolf responded, unexpectedly excited.

“What’s it?” Elias asked.

“What it is, you’ll see soon.” That was all the wolf said.

Elias sighed and nodded to Kael. The prince’s lips curled into a knowing smirk while his eyes darkened...something secret was brewing. Elias could feel it but couldn’t tell what it was.

He had already given his word, there was no going back.

“Good. Go and pack your things. You’ll be staying with me at the palace. I’ll be waiting.” Kael patted his shoulder before walking off with the gang.

Elias rushed back to the dorm, packed his things, and arrived at the palace gate, deep in thought.

“Oh, you’re here already?” That same voice that had tormented and comforted him spoke again. The window of the driver’s seat rolled down.

“I... I—”

“Get in.” Elias remained stunned and didn’t react fast enough. “Why are you still standing there? Do you think I have all day? Get in.”

Elias snapped back to reality and climbed into Kael’s car, sitting at the far end away from him. Kael glanced at him and looked away. They drove to the palace in silence, and Kael led him to his quarters.

The first few days working for Kael weren’t as bad as he’d feared, it was flexible. He had time to study and saved money by eating at the palace. Things were progressing smoothly... maybe too smoothly.

The few days they spent together sparked something in Elias’s wolf. It got to the point where he looked forward to seeing Kael every second, minute, and hour. Kael became his obsession. He couldn’t control it. He’d find himself thinking about Kael constantly—sometimes even staring at him without realizing it.

One night, he woke up drenched in sweat. The shock in his eyes was undeniable.

“No fucking way!” he muttered, pulling up his blanket and staring down at his torso. “Impossible,” he whispered, trying to erase the vivid dream that had played in his mind. He rushed into the bathroom for a cold shower.

“I’ve really fallen for him,” he murmured, letting the water wash over him. He sighed, completely lost in confusion.

The next morning, when he saw Kael, his breath hitched. His face burned with heat. He couldn’t help but think back to the night before.

“What’s wrong with you?” Kael asked, reaching toward his forehead, but Elias pulled back.

“Please don’t…”

“Why are you acting like I’m going to eat you up? I’m not that desperate,” Kael scoffed, turning away as Elias trailed behind him with his head down.

Kael suddenly stopped, and Elias bumped into him.

“Why are you acting like some lovesick puppy? Stop following me. I don’t need anything from you right now.”

“But...” Elias stammered.

“I just want to follow you.”

“Why? Don’t tell me you’ve fallen in love with me,” Kael said with a cheeky smirk.

“What if I have?” Elias asked, lifting his head.

Kael's smirk vanished, replaced by a gasp. He was speechless. He’d thought Elias was joking.

“Don’t overstep your boundaries. You’re the same guy who reported me for being gay. And now I’m supposed to believe you’ve fallen for me? Are you mocking me?”

Kael turned to leave, but Elias grabbed his wrist.

The prince froze in disbelief. He turned back with wide eyes, trying to wrench his arm free.

“I’ve really fallen for you. What do you want me to do to convince you?” Elias asked, his voice meek, trembling with desperation.

“That’s enough. Leave!” Kael barked.

It was yet another challenge for Elias. He regretted ever reporting Kael back then—if he’d just kept quiet, no one would’ve known. Now, he was paying the price. He didn’t believe Kael would ever take him seriously.

His heart sank. He knew it would be difficult to convince Kael, but he had to try—his wolf would never rest otherwise.

“Should I quit? That way I can slowly get over these feelings…” he murmured. But then again, his whole life depended on this job.

“I’m doomed.”

Kael, who had walked away, now clutched his chest, trying to calm the wild beating of his heart. He looked back toward where Elias had stood but he was gone. A soft smile crept to Kael’s lips… only to vanish just as quickly.

Elias’s obsession had begun to shape his every move. One night, he couldn’t take it anymore. The urge overwhelmed him.

He pushed Kael onto the bed, climbing over him.

“I can’t control myself anymore. Please… just fuck the hell out of me.”

  • The Lycan Prince’s Secret Obsession    Finale

Chapter 70: Finale In Georgia, the news moved like a different sort of fire. Delia’s embassy received the state’s dispatch through channels that had always accounted for decorum. They opened the container and found their princess’s body enclosed, wrapped with the same unvarnished state practice and with it a message Kael had let be sent: a court’s verdict becomes a record for nations as much as for people. Pride turned to rage. Men who had never raised their voices called war councils. A king does not see his heir returned with the mark of execution without taking the blade in return.Delia’s father, in a fury that made him stumble in his chamber, prepared his banners and called his lords. He mobilized on the gallop. The noise of departure, horns and spurs carried to Kael’s news rooms the way thunder might. Armies met on a ridge; the Prince of Pennsylvania led his troops with a command that had the weight of grief and the focus of a man who had seen too much and accepted too little.

Chapter 69: The Verdict and the Quiet After“You think you can bury this?” Kael said, and there was no tremor in his voice. It carried across the hall like a blade: clean, inevitable. The Great Hall was full to the eaves—nobles in trimmed cloaks, magistrates with worry lined like runes in their faces, soldiers who had waited months to see whether the prince returned a conqueror or a corpse. Word had spread that Kael had a verdict to pronounce. It had also spread that the verdict would be ugly.At the head of the dais, where a throne had once signified the final word, Kael stood instead on a low side. He wore no crown. He wore neither forgiving smile nor royal blandness. His wounds were fading stitches, still rubbed salves...showed in the slight hitch of his shoulder. The wolf inside him sat calm, a coiled thing that watched, measured, and did not leap.Delia Vale stood bound in a small cage placed to the left of the dais, hair carefully arranged though her wrists were furred with brui

Chapter 68: Whispers of Home“Papa… please drink this,” Suki whispered, her voice trembling as she pressed the rim of the steaming cup against her father’s lips. The frail man groaned as he turned his head slightly. His once strong broad shoulders that once carried nets, crates, and the burdens of his family was now sunken. The hospital bed in their cramped home in Chiang Mai seemed to swallow him. Sweat slicked his forehead, and the veins in his hands looked like fragile blue threads beneath paper-thin skin.“I don’t want it,” he rasped in Thai, coughing immediately after, his body shuddering with the effort.Suki’s eyes burned. Her hair tied in a messy bun, her schoolbooks forgotten on the wooden table by the window. For weeks she had been a nurse, housekeeper, and child all at once. Her small hands trembled as she set the cup down on the bedside table.“You need your strength, Papa. You must drink something, at least a little. Please.”The old man closed his eyes, the rise and fall

  • The Lycan Prince’s Secret Obsession    Tracks

Chapter 67: Tracks The trackers worked. The wolves padded the corridors in fur and silence, noses close to the stone. They drew a map of scents that on any other night would have been meaningless: a servant’s spilled soup, a guard’s wet boots, a duchess’s rare tea trailed all the way from the western passage. Tonight, they wove it into a net.At the Queen’s chamber, nothing new: old perfume, old prayers, the steady hum of a life that had held its routines like a ritual. At the King’s, a tang of something not his: salt and clove and the wet-stone echo that had tugged at Kael. It scuffed faintly along the River Stair and vanished in the night-breath. The outer posts had been doused in wine.“A clever fox,” the Huntsmaster said, frowning at the wet footprint’s memory on his fingertips. “Masking the trail with a barrel tipped where the river wind would push the smell.”Kael’s eyes half closed. The bells were still tolling; they would until noon. Each peal went through him like a hammer.

Chapter 66: Bells for the Dead“Your Highness...open, please...Your Highness!”The pounding came like thunder against Kael’s door, rattling the iron ring in its socket. He was already half up, sleep torn from his body in one jolting gasp.“Enter,” he barked, voice rough. The latch flew. A young guard stumbled in, face gray, eyes blown wide. “It’s the Queen,” he said, breath breaking. “She... Her Majesty...”Kael didn’t wait for the rest. Barefoot, shirt thrown on wrong side first, he was out into the corridor before the boy could finish. He moved like a blade pulled clean from its sheath, the air around him sharpening, temperature dropping. And then the bells began.Low and slow at first, a single toll that ran its iron mouth along the bones of the palace. Another followed, then another, until the whole fortress seemed to vibrate with the weight of sound. Windows trembled in their lead frames. A flock of ravens boiled up off the east parapet and scattered like thrown ink.Kael ran.Se

Chapter 65: Blood at MidnightThe palace slept. Not a candle flickered in the long hallways, and only the occasional shuffle of armored boots echoed from the far courtyards where guards paced half-asleep. The moon hung silver and fat above the spires, its glow soaking the marbled floors through tall windows. Silence wrapped itself around the kingdom like a shroud, oblivious to the storm about to break.Delia pressed her back against the cold wall of her chambers, breath shallow, chest rising and falling with the fury that had consumed her since Queen Serena had walked in on her and Nadai. She could still feel the sting of shame when the Queen’s eyes had widened in disgust. Those dark pupils, sharp as blades, judging, condemning. Serena had said nothing, not a single word. She had simply looked, turned, and left. That silence was worse than a hundred curses.Delia gripped the dagger she had taken from Kael chambers some time ago, her knuckles whitening. The blade was ceremonial, deco
