Carson POV

I felt a chill roll down my spine. Figured what out? We had only figured out what I suspected was one piece of the puzzle. As the cell door opened, we moved towards Alpha Luke. He was still hanging from the silver cuffs attached to the wall, and I could see exhaustion in his body. Holding your weight by your arms was exhausting. Doing so while being beaten, was even more so.

Marly started to move forward but I put a hand on her arm, “Wait,” I suggested as she paused to look at me. “The sooner I do this, the sooner we can leave,” she replied, calmly. I knew she was right, and I was proud to see this confidence in her. She stepped forward and moved to touch Alpha Luke’s arm.
