Marly POV I finished putting the meal together, as the doorbell rang indicating the guests had arrived. For these types of events, my parents insisted on putting on a show so I would join them for the meal. I was to eat a minimal amount of food and only speak when spoken to. I heard voices but could not make out who was here. I was silently plating food, when my mother walked in behind me. “Hurry up; everything had better be hot!” she scowled. She hated that I would be joining them for the meal, and I knew I had to be on my best behaviour. Marly POV Tears filled my eyes, as I looked at the dress and shoes. They were destroyed. The shoes were marked up, and the dress was torn in various places of the dress. I looked at it in despair wondering if I would be able to salvage any of it. I worked all night on the dress and was finally satisfied enough to get a couple hours of sleep. I had to pack a bag as I would not be coming back to change for the ceremony. Secretly I packed some extra items, as I knew I would not be coming back at all. Anything of mine would be sent to the pack house, tomorrow once I had been named Maxwell’s Luna. The day flew by, with all the details coming together perfectly.
